Ended up paying something around 34k before taxes and license for mine.

MSRP was around 36k

I got around 4% off in my case. Didn't even had to negotiate for it. It means about 2100$ cdn. Basically, I saved the transport and prep which are 1700$ cdn plus another 300$ on PP and a little more.

This is from my dealer in Laval Quebec Canada.

Only 2 dealers here in the greater Phoenix area. Should not be a problem to get $1500 under MSRP for a 330. The more options the better of you are when you haggle. I used BMW North Scottsdale, a sales guy named Petros cut me the deal while Camelback BMW gave me a harder time about price. Tell him I sent you!

I ordered mine from a dealer in the sf bay area approx a couple of months ago . I paid about $1.4K over invoice. I got the original quote from the Internet Sales rep and went in with the invoice prices (thanks to this forum and bimmerfest) to negotiate.

You can negotiate when the car arrives, but risk having to wait longer if you and the dealer can't agree on a price.
Actually, I am a tad surprised that you didn't agree to a price prior to putting your deposit down.

Shoot, I just realized that he ordered an Xi too.

IMO, dayum he better get an agreeable price soon or the dealer's just going to say "no" and sell it at MSRP to someone else, since he's in Mass. and it's going to be a hot item.

I know I am like so pissed cause all he gave me was the quote of what it would be for the MSRP but I think I should get somethingoff, OR you think I should just have him throw some stuff in like a spoiler, flaps, mats and stuff like that?

I'd try to get something off. How much free stuff can you realistically get anyways?

I'd consider trying some other dealers too.

Currently I'm in negotiations with a few dealers but best price I'm getting is $750 over invoice, and the salesman will throw in free floor mats.

$6000 off MSRP

Guys,

I think I wrote about it before, but people keep emailing me, so I'll write it again.

If you do ED, you save about $6000, AT LEAST off MSRP. I only saved $6000 because I got was metallic paint and the sports pkg. The more options you get, the more you save off the sticker on the car. In fact, the higher up models you get, the more you save. If you got a 7 series, ED, you would save close to $40K. Do the math yourself. It's not very difficult. For example, take a look at the following link to see the savings on a 6 series:

http://ziv.tzo.com/06_6_series.pdf

You save close to $12K before you even start

On the E90, 3 series, you save $6000 before you start adding options:

http://ziv.tzo.com/06_3_series_prices.pdf

If you care about the 5 series pricing, here it is:

http://ziv.tzo.com/2006_5_Series_Pricing.pdf

cya ---

Ziv.

ED=European Delivery. The following is an over-simplification. You pick-up the car in Munich, drive it around, drop it off in one of the many cities and then wait for about 6-8 weeks for your car to get back home.

You need to order the car typically 60 days out and you must go to Munich and pick it up yourself.

Go to www.bmwusa.com for more info and also bimmerfest.com. They have a great ED forum.

You can definitely save a lot by using ED, plus you get to take delivery where your car was born Here's the ED thread here

Ziv.
I think you got a little carried away. ED is a great deal, but not that great!

On a 330i with no options, MSRP is $36300, ED Invoice $30720. The difference is $5580. Take out the dealer profit and you get savings of about $4600.

But a fairer comparison would be between achievable good deals in both cases:
ED Invoice + $1000 dealer profit = $31720
US Invoice + $1500 dealer profit = $34715
for a more realistic savings of about $3000 (which does not increase even if you add options)
