I've just started a thread in the N54 forum since Riss still hasn't provided instructions and/or photos showing how this is supposed to fit. Care to share your comments there? It would be a big help if you could pull your filter and provide a photo like mine to give a better reference.
I took it out the front clip and then twisted back and forth while pushin and holding the rear pipe (pulling it towards me). Then I put the front back in. If it won't reach bring it forward a small bit at a time until it will fit. Also, the front pipe does need stretching a little (hence being warm) to get about 1 inch (ish) into the pipe to allow the clip to hold it.

Hope this helps.

I've got the rear pipe in at least an inch, not sure about the front one but that won't affect how far forward the intake is situated.

If you stretch the front pipe slightly (when warm, or by pouring very hot water on it) you will be able to move the whole intake back slightly. Hopefully enough to give you the clearance you need.

Be very careful NOT to get water in the intake pipes !!!! I heated them and stretched them while the clamps were tight to ensure they were sealed.

Yeah it was tough getting the back intake pipe back in I sprayed a little wd-40 on the outside to get it to slide in far enough before securing it...

Great, this is exactly the kind of response that I expected from the great team at Riss Racing and you didn't let me down.

Just placed my order for the intake/plenum/scoops kit...can't wait!

Thanks for all of the instruction, I'm sure they will come in handy.

I just got mine today. They essentially just added a piece of metal on the C-clamp bracket at an angle so you can mount it lower and behind the headlight. I'll get to work on it later, and it looks like a good solution to me.

It was simpler than I thought. They just bolted an angled piece of metal to the C-bracket. Works fairly well, should have been like this from the start. Install is only a problem because everything is so tight, I had to remove the plenum and filter to have enough room to work in there. It puts the reservoir farther towards the center of the car and lower and shouldn't interfere with the DDV or intercooler. This also provides some more clearance for the filter in the front.

As always, full sized are here.

I haven't seen this covered in this thread yet, but I thought it was important enough to mention this just in case. A note for installation, be sure to clean out the inside of your intake before installing. I found some chunks of what looked like grey mud inside the tubing. I cleaned it out by hand, then used a compressor to blow out any remaining debris; hopefully I got all of it. Otherwise installation went pretty well (can't wait for the mailman to drop off the plenum!).
