I'd be interested in wheels/tires/TPMS package as well, if that's possible. It's not going to stop me from buying the wheels, but it would make life easier.
Tire packages will be available, but we we're not going to work those out until we actually get the ball rolling

as of right now, I see interest but i dont see deposits.

if people are serious, we need deposits....i put all the information up a couple posts ago, but we have yet to even get 1 deposit unfortunately.

Now the discussion seemed to have slowed down a bit after the specs are finalized, I feel there are still several questions that were either not brought up or not adequately addressed. If someone could step up and answer these questions, I am sure it'll help persuade those who are still on the fence. After all, no one likes to be a free guinea pig.

1) What is the definite tire size range we can fit on stock suspension? On aftermarket suspension?
a. So far the safest tire size combination with no rubbing seems to be 235 F and 255R. One may go a little more aggressive if running stock ride height or additional camber.

I dont own a 1 series nor do we have access to testing this before hand, however, from what we've read on the forum 235's in the front shouldnt be a problem and 255's on the rear should be fine as well...possibly even 265's

2) What about center caps? Will we be able to fit OEM BMW Roundels or are we stuck with Rota caps (will they even be provided)?

sorry, these will NOT be center cap compatible at all as mentioned in a previous post

3) Since these are for a special limited production run, what options do we have in the future if we need a replacement? Are there any plans for Rota to produce a few extra sets to keep in stock?

yes, extras will be available and ever person sending a deposit in also has the option to purchase a spare wheel if wanted.

4) Are these hub-centric with the right center bore or will we need adapter rings?

these will be hubcentric

5) Will these be shipped from wheeldude or directly from Rota?

these will ship from wheeldude, we do not drop ship

6) Lastly and most importantly, what is the estimated production time after the collection of payment?
Edit: I guess this was answered in one of the above posts. (~3 months right?)

These are just a few questions I can think of off the top of my head. Please chime in if I missed any. So far I am leaning more towards G-Force over the Apex wheel for purely aesthetic reasons. Yes, the Rotas are probably not as strong or as light, but at this price point, it’s good cheap interim solution to fitting more rubber on the car.
See answers in bold

sorry for the delay in response

Bump for more interest. I'm not going to drop a deposit until I see a few more people are in on this.

if everyone waits for someone else to put a deposit down, it will never happen

Remember, if the minimum amount of people do not join the group buy, deposits will be returned in full!

Is there anyway to manufacture the BMW roundels for this wheel? What about TPMS? I'm torn between this and the CSL rep GB.

these are TPMS compatible

I can't do BMW roundels as I prefer to stay away from lawsuits from BMWNA

okay im going to clear this up for you
Zoeb@WheelDude.com i know you dont have a 1 series,
so a 235 on the 8.5 with 42 offset WILL rub. maybe not so much on stock because it is so high, but if you are lowered and add in some hard cornering you will hear it rub. i am on 8.5 with 40 offset on 225, slammed and i rub when im pushing the car. just 2mm higher of a offset is defiantly not enough to accommodate a 235 .
255 should fit out back though

I might be interested if these can be exported to UK?

You can PM me shipping costs etc..

Ideally I think a 18x8" ET45'ish front wheel is more ideal for the 1 series but would be OK to see the Forgestar dimensions which we know work on a 1 Series as below albeit in 18"

18x8.5 ET46 (perhaps the 1mm won't make a difference?)
18x9 ET50

I assume 19" won't be an option?
