Life is beautiful
A forum like this is designed to help us when we have problems, but that shouldn't obscure the pure, shining wonderfulness of owning a 135i.
It's sturdy, sophisticated, aggressive-looking and, in the real world, faster than stink. It doesn't suck down an outrageous amount of gas. It's backed by a generally sophisticated and customer-centric network. Its sport seats are great, and its Xenons peek around corners. It's probably the one car that made sense when I bought it (early) and still makes sense now, in the recessiodepression. I haven't been that active in this forum of late because, frankly, life has been too good. But just because 1addicts is great for tuners or the mechanically afflicted, please don't forget the larger truth: This car, right out of the box, kicks ass.

I'm sure you will get MANY people to agree with you. I wouldn't necessarily say that the forums are only for problems. I think it is just agreed that what Jeremy Clarkson/Top Gear BBC said is the absolute truth: That the 135 is the best BMW on the road today.
Let alone 0-60 in 4.8, , a fully comprehensive warranty, and a 0.9% interest rate. It literally is almost "pathetically stupid" to not consider a 1Series vehicle.

On top of that, it's the best bang-for-the-buck BMW as well. Think about it. Where can one get this kind of power, this kind of look and this kind of performance for easily under $50k?
It can't be done.

I mentioned that same bit in another thread. While I prefer the 135cic, I freely state that the 128i is one of the best bang-for-the-buck cars on the road. With tons of standard features, the warranty of course, and then 0-60 in supposedly 5.8 seconds or so, all for $30K, what car is even capable of competing with that?
As for Jeremy Clarkson's comment, he was bringing in the "fun aspect" as well. For $35K, you can get a 135i, and if BMW is still doing it, you got the 18" rims and Xenon headlights standard on it, and of course 0-60 in 4.8, all in the small and powerful vehicle, now that is a shotgun-blast-bang for the buck!

BMW has really stepped up their game with the 135i.
