I believe SLeK is trying to catch up on production so they have trunks ready when the group buy starts.

what about starting a teaser just to see how many people would or could be interested for the trunk.

I beleived you're right.
I ask the question about the sides. And they will not fit on the 135, only on the 1M.

about the rear one....

The trunk is ready to go. SleK is ramping up production for the expected demand of their trunk.

If you really need one now, shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

I was a bit reserved with this company originally, but those pieces look fantastic. Keep up the good work guys. Lets see how it goes with distribution.

Maybe if all goes well we will get a vert trunk and some 135 parts!

looks great, fits great. do all cf hoods have the orange peel effect if painted over or will this be an exception to that?

I love this hood! Fitments is beyond words...

@dcho I feel if you took it to a professional shop they could do it right for you with no orange peel. As much is caused by the lack of proper painting technique.

Orange peel is a certain kind of finish that may develop on painted and cast surfaces, even screen protectors.[1] The texture resembles the bumpy surface of the skin of an orange (fruit) hence the name.
Gloss paint sprayed on a smooth surface (such as the body of a car) should also dry into a smooth surface. However, various factors can cause it to dry into a bumpy surface resembling the texture of an orange peel. The orange peel phenomenon can then be smoothed out with ultra-fine sandpaper, but it can be prevented altogether by changing the painting technique or the materials used. Orange peel is typically the result of improper painting technique, and is caused by the quick evaporation of thinner, incorrect spray gun setup (e.g., low air pressure or incorrect nozzle), spraying the paint at an angle other than perpendicular, or applying excessive paint.

I will say this. SGM is a really hard paint to match.

It took my dealers collision shop 3 days just to paint my new rear bumper properly. It worked, it looked like the bumper that came with the car, but its a time intensive process.

I think the tooling for ABS and etc is much more expensive and alot of people don't want to go through the hassle of painting hoods. Like myself, I wouldn't have purchased this hood if I have to paint it because I just want CF. Same thing for front lips and etc.
