Straight pipe power loss?

Would you guys agree that having straight pipes on the one with jb4, intake and cattless dps would cause a power loss on low end? It seems like it takes a lot longer for the turbos to spool up. In comparison, I used to run a jb+ with a rr exhaust and my car used to spin tires like crazy from a dig in first and second. What do you guys think?

It should have the exact opposite effect as you are describing. It is probably just hotter out now and your tires have more grip...

I think it will lose some little power before the turbo kicks in. Our engine works like NA under 1200 RPM. But of course, once turbo kicks, that's another story.

Just my thought...

yes, im running map 5 for auto tune but i dont think that its picking up on how quick it used to be. maybe since im running straight pipes i dont quite hear the sound. but im used to feeling the car sit sideways a bit off the line due to no lsd... but i do agree with losing low end and gaining high end since my friend said the same exact thing about his evo x. i guess i was just wondering if it applied and affected our cars as well.

Try both and see what you like better. I personally run map 2 with catless downpipes, fmic and jb4.

Map 5 is very conservative. A full bolt on car on 93 car run Map 2 no problems and will rip compared to Map 5.

Safer because it should tune itself for the mod? My POV on the autotune map is that its in Alpha stage so that tells me its not remotely ready for mass use, I don't think i could get myself to go anywhere near a Alpha map.

well u should at least log map 1 and 2 and make sure your timing isnt droping( aka knock retard).......untill you do that then just run map 5 its protects you from knock,...is it really worth doing long term damage for 20-25 more hp.....log it and report back.....
