My 135i review
Well i bought my 135 exactly 2 weeks ago
Auto with premium. I have put on about 1300 miles. Its my first BMW. My car history is 08 scion xb manual, 07 accord coupe v6 auto, 05 srt-4 manual to name just a few. I LOVE my new car. Here are some of the things that stand out to me: *I should of gotten the sports package. The premium seats do not suit me at all. *It pulls like a freight train. I have to disable DTC all the time to enjoy the drive. *The auto has 3 useful modes and im glad i didnt buy a manual. *It basically only has 1 useable cupholder in the whole car. *Love the halo's and adaptive headlights. Its sounds like a gimmick but on a dark country road the turning headlights work well. *It has a little more wind noise on the hwy than i was expecting. *The leather is disappointing, my accords leather was much softer and looked better. *Base professional stereo works great even loud. Cool they put subs under both front seats. *Use the power fold in mirrors daily. *Bluetooth is really nice. It works flawless and i can talk on the phone with windows and sunroof open. *I like the chrome trim better than the shadowline on the sports. *Brakes are very touchy but work great. *Top speed limited to 138mph sucks.. its so easly and smooth at 120. *I dig the ambient lighting inside in the front and the back. *Needs a sunglasses holder. *I like how you can open the sunroof and windows with the remote fob but cannot close them automatically. *the dual A/C you cannot just shut off the passenger side. You must adjust both basically to get a good temp in the car when alone and it doesn't seem to have alot of temp variance between the 2 sides. Well thats alot but i wanted to let potential new owners what they can expect. The power is addicting and i cant wait to mod it. I rode in one that had a tune last night >active<... and YES i have to try a Dinan or SSTT and soon.

I agree but find it odd you didn't get stick. I also liked the auto but I liked it if they gave a -1k or more for getting stick, instead of charging more for auto.
Leather is low end even my office chair is better and it only cost $120, just like you said, I agree. EspressoBoy PS BTW I got sport and very happy. I had found 1addicts be4 I ordered so I knew what to do for me! |

I normally would agree with this, but I bought our 135i off of the lot, and it didn't have sport seats. The stock seats are actually surprisingly comfortable. I agree that if the sports seats had been in stock, I would have preferred them, but they're far from terrible, and actually much more comfortable than the seats in my M Coupe.

I forgot people buy off the lot... No wonder!
Glad you like it... I have often said... 80% drive 10% turbo 10% extras (fluff?) Maybe my percent is not the same as everyone, but I am sure it's close. I have to agree with anyone who complains about anything not working... I hate that. If I was tight for cash I would have got just the basic... BTW I wonder if there is any1 who does not like the car??? I have only heard of people selling it after they got in my opinion a lemon (it had all kinds of issues, that I do not have with my 1) Is there anyone? EspressoBoy |

*I would say there are really no usable cupholders if you have iDrive. *I wasn't displeased with the wind noise at normal highway speeds, but abot 85 ish it sure starts to roar. *The power mirrors were a big plus when parking in tiny spaces in Europe. *Seriously? You often have a need to rip around at 140 plus? It tends to get a little floaty at about 140, but if you get a Dinan mod, they'll pull that off for you. Just make sure you get tires that are rated for those speeds... *Yeah, that dual AC thing is a little goofy. BMW, why can't I turn off the second zone?!? Regardless of all the above, congrats on the new car. It's a GREAT ride! |

Try the little "shelf" in the "cubby hole" at the bottom of the door. That's where I keep mine.
Also, I agree with your assessment that the sport seats are necessary. My wife has a '06 325xi with non-sport seats. They are o.k., but the sports are just wonderful. I LOVE how the side bolsters hug you and keep you in place. Glad to hear you like the auto tranny. From what's been said on here it's real nice, but I'm a big fan of the manual. |
