BMW M1 production body prototype testing on the 'Ring' for 1st time
As reported on 1ADDICTS HOMEPAGE.
These are the first photos of the BMW M1 prototype with production body performing hotlap testing on the Nurburgring in extensive chassis and handling. Previously, we've only seen the red prototype running on the track. We will have a video for you later this afternoon, so stay tuned! And check out these angles of the front and rear fenders!

I'd have the same look on my face if I were driving the M1!
Gawd, that is the best shot of the front fenders I've seen; look how W I I I I I I I DE they are!! I cant wait!!!! Definitely some 3D camo on the front fender. Hiding the ///M gills I assume.

It looks great. The stance is going to be so wide and squat.
I think by now its safe to say we wont be seeing a dual exhaust and i think that fits for two reasons: the chassis is too small and they wouldnt want to encroach on the M3 leaving it as the flagship M. In other words, "if you want the dual exhaust upgrade to the more expensive M3". That leaves a new selling point for the M3. Its all strategy. Also, no sunroof on the prototype and no vents. I can make any guesses on the vents but I guess the cosmetic stuff hasnt been fully integrated into the testin yet. Theres no power bulge, no hood vents, and no sidevents on the prototype. |

Look closer at the front fender. There is an unexplained gap in the area between the door and fender. Perfect placement for 3D camo, all they had to do then was just wrap the acid-trip vinyl over top. Any hood mods would've been too hard to hide though, so I'm hoping that's why they're missing.

Four things are not on this car:
-hood -trunk -mirrors -roof (CF) -quads (it is now sure it won't have quads, I do not blame Scott, he can not know or decide anything) Things that are not but I would like to see: -BBK (Brembo) -lightweight seats (Recaro) |

Nice, the excitement just keeps building up.
Looking at the front fender, there's a gap between it and the door. The door and the fender aren't flush. It's like they added a rectangular piece of hard plastic on part of the front fender. Anyone else notice that? Look at the front fender in the last 2 pics. Maybe this is to disguise the M ducts better...
