Has anyone NOT seen a 1er on the road yet?
I live in Tampa and I still haven't seen a 1er on the road! I was wondering if anyone else has yet to see one. :iono:

I live about 20 minutes north of Daytona Beach, and haven't seen one yet. I ordered my 135i on March 17th, and they only had just received one 128i convertible. I don't know if they've since gotten any on the lot at Fields BMW in Daytona....There was a red 328i parked across the street last night, and I'm waaaaay happy I went with the 1............

Same here, although we may have to have an all titanium silver get together here with kopeyka and robert. Of course mine is prettier cause it has the chrome (okay, just cheaper cause no sports package).
But, on one level I enjoy not seeing them around cause it makes ours more special. If everybody had one, they just wouldn't seem to be as meaningful in my opinion. I'd like to think I'm at least somewhat unique, especially living in LA where everybody is driving around in 50-100K cars. |

Have not seen one on road yet. But of course here in southern maryland only thing you are gonna see are mustangs and pick-up trucks anyway.

I live in central London, on roads lined with <1yr old cars, and only saw my first 1 on the road last night, but it was very very exciting all the same! And on that the central London dealer (Park Lane BMW) doesn't even have a showroom floor 1 yet!

Assume by end of summer 2008, there are 13,000 1ers on the road out of a total of 220,000,000 vehicles in North America (Canada & USA). That's about one 1-series out of every 20,000 cars.. I had a Z4 before my 1er and even after 5 years I'd only see another Z4 once or twice a month - and that's just the way I like it..

What am I the first person to have seen a 1er on the road....It also depends on which type of 1er your talking about... Since I am here in germany iv seen 116i,118i,123d,128i I see them all the time almost everyday I drive but then again I am in germany where they are made... What makes me mad is I have the front end engained in my head for the 116i and 118i they are all the exact same as the 128i but they are hatchbacks... So everytime I see the front end I think it is one of them hatchbacks and have to look over as it drives by before I know if it is the coupe or hatchback... I have been fooled several times. Someone I know personally loves his 128i but he freaked out when they paved the autobahn. He picked up his car 2hrs later on the drive home all them loose stones kicking up on his car. I know I would be freaking out if that happened to me.
