Currently have VMR 810 on stock m-sport suspension
Front: 18x8.5 et 45 235/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5 et 58 265/35/18

Not currently rubbing at all

Planning on lower with kw coilovers.. Does anyone know what I will need to to do to fit the 235/40/18 in the front? I was thinking of getting Dinan camber plates but idk if that will be enough.. or am I better off getting new tires in 245/35/18 for the front and running a spacer?

I noticed a lot of people are running the apex 9.5x18 et 62 with a 265 rear. From the looks of it, the rear looks kinda sunk in, has anyone tried the 9.5x18 et 35 with a 265 rear? Lowered less than an inch, will it clear?

If not what about as 255?

Not at all. I'm running a wide 255 tire on ET50 and it rubs with Eibach Pro-kit.

Thanks for the reply. Doing a little searching for a new wheel set up. I know I want arc8's and Michelin pss'. Thinking about a square set up running 245/35/18 on 8.5 et45 fronts and 8.5 et38 rear.

Quick question for anyone who knows. If I install the m3 control arms are camber plates still needed with a 245 front?

p.s. on eibach springs with bilstein dampers

17" ASA GT5's

I put these ASA GT5's with RunFlats on my car last night and am happy with the result. I decided against a staggered setup and to stick with a stock 17" setup for various reasons.

TireRack was great to deal with as usual and everything worked perfectly including the TPMS sensors - thanks guys!

Hard to search on my phone.... Has anyone fit a 255/40/18 rear without rubbing? Would love some extra sidewall without dropping to 17s in the summer. Thanks

On a stock wheel no as that's what I use to run.

On an aftermarket one like 18 x 9 +45 it will rub and need to roll the guard slightly

you need much larger offset for the rear to make it fit, I think stock is et52

Et 35 won't come anywhere near the suspension but will almost for sure stick out of the guard

The max you can fit on the back without touching the guards is 18x9 +45, optimal is 18x9.5 + 52 on rear but you can get away with 18x9.5 +48 with slight rubbing

I run 18x8.5et35 with 225/40 R888s which are super chunky. Guards are rolled and with -2.5 negative camber they fit fine.

Rears are 18x9.5et50 with 255/35 R888s, -1.5 camber and lightly rolled guards. This is a tighter fit. I get slight scrubbing over large bumps at speed.
I would think et40 would stick out to much unless you wanted to stretch the tyres with lots of camber.

Not a great pic but kind of shows how they fit.

and ride height for reference nb: this is on a bit of a slope.

I'm kind of shocked to see such tame specs on these cars. Coming from the VW stance world of poke and stretch, this is really different haha I don't see many "stanced" 1ers as I do 3 series cars. Lots of car shows and stuff I attend have e9x 335 and m3's pushing much more aggressive looks with their wheels. Was hoping I could get some ideas of what I plan to do when I pick up a 1er but I guess I'll just have to push some boundaries a little

There's plenty of people running aggressive setups just not really in this thread and also there isn't much stanced cars on this forum

Yeah I just haven't seen too many aggressive setups browsing around. And yeah I can see there not being too many stanced cars on here. That's ok, little poke and stretch won't hurt lol

One of the biggest reasons you dont see "stanced" cars on here is because most members DD there cars. Function over form for most here. Some try to push the fitment, mostly for track use. There are some nice stanced 1ers out there, but they are rare to say the least.
