Well done mate sounds like you had a good introduction to the track experience. Good effort turning off the TC too. I usually keep mine on for turn 1 then turn it off after that..just in case!
I am heading out next week for the burrows day and cant wait. Two mates are coming in a 599 and a Vantage which I will hopefully get a few laps in. Agree with the suspension comments too. Its the only thing I really want to change.

I reckon burrow will be fun (now I know what it is). I don't suppose a scum bag in a 135i like me could ever get an invite!! Turn 1 is well fun, its all about sphincter than anything else:eyebulge: Turn 1 is the definition of trailing throttle!!

Hey Duncan. Yep, I'm definitely missing the 135 already since I've not driven it for over a week now. But I'm home today and the beast is just sitting there tempting me for a good run.
You never know your luck with Burrows. A friend has been several times ... in her MINI. Just ask for an invite! Turn 1 at EC demands serious respect! I learnt that firsthand a few months ago when I had an ever-so slight lift mid-corner and ended up facing the wrong way about 200m later! Thankfully I was still on the track, but it cost me two flat-spotted front tyres. My abovementioned friend is still learning about turn 1 and so far has spun off three times! She's accumulating a nice collection of kitty litter!

Yes turn 1 is awesome, a real bum clencher! The 1er will work much better through there with performance shocks. Ihad a couple of moments there but that was mainly due to turning in too early.
I was supposed to go again on Wednesday but work has got in the way!!

same here. Tell him the Stig with the RX-8 will see him more at Sandown next year. He needs to chase Ferraris again.

I popped over to EC this arvo and met Harpoon (nice to meet you mate). Burrows day was full of 'rarri's and the odd Porsche. It was good to see Harpoon flying the flag, plus a guy in a vert. I've booked the next EC day on 28th Jan if anyone else is interested..

Yeh good to meet you too Breville. I think I might sign up for the day in January as well.
I have to say I was surprised by how well the 135 went on the track. I thought the body roll would be a real issue but it's really quite manageable. Getting the power out of the corners was loads better then my old 350z and the car was well and truly holding its own with the big boys. Got to an indicated 212-215 on the straight - the fastest I got in the 350z was 195. Would still love to get the suspension done and some good tyres as I think this would make it a very competetive car The instructors were vry impressed with the cars performance and a couple of them are keen to get one now. Also got a hot lap in the Lexus ISF. It performed bloody well with the instructor at the wheel but I just can't get past its camry look.
