ICarbon carbon copy?

Anyone seen or have experience with this lip?

http://www.jl-motoring.com/BMW_E82_E...p/bmfs8201.htm

Looks very similar to the Icarbon, only a lot cheaper.

I would be careful with this. I sold an iCarbon lip to Scopione for them to replicate it which they did. Once they received it, the fitment wasn't great. Now I'm not sure what happened with that mold / lip but they could have sold it to these guys. Or maybe they replicated the iCarbon lip as well. Just putting it out there.

Appreciate the heads up. I'll keep my hopes up. I can't afford 900+ on a lip that I will almost certainly curb at some point.

Check their return policy. If it looks ok then buy it and test it out. But I just know the only replicated iCarbon lip so far hasn't fit well after being replicated.

Looks like they would let Socal locals come by and test fit. Too bad I'm in Norcal.

I ordered a lip from them years ago and was actually happy with the fit and finish.

Anyone local want to take a look?

cf lip

i like to order a cf lip.
But, I'm NOT sure if I understand their T&C very well.
It seem that you are basically responsable for everything...if something is wrong.
i did not see their return policy.

If someone as time and check for me.
thanks

Fitment wouldn't be the best if they replicated it from an iCarbon lip because the original didn't fit that well either!

Interested in seeing how this fits though, a valet cracked my icarbon lip and can't get a replacement

So is this the proof that they are actually done?
That they sold the molds?

Or that theyve restarted under a different name like a cool nightclub?

I the lip only fitted with screws?
if so, do you have to drill holes?
or do you have to glue it on?

You have to drill holes to the lip. I also put 3M double-sided tape to make the lip stick to the bumper.

You need to drill 3 holes down the middle section of the lip for extra security.

Yo can drill more holes if you want.

But still with the original iCarbon lip it does not fit 100% onto our bumper.

I am on my second iCarbon lip, after cracking the first one badly and even the new one already has a small crack in it. If your car is lowered like mine it's just a matter of time until you hit a curb or bump stop. I know carbon fiber is all the rage but I think plastic or rubber would a better choice.

I will get another one because I like the front of the car so much better with it.

+ 1

It's inevitable if you're lowered. Mines cracked quite badly, I've taped it back up but people still cringe when they see it up close. No more lips for me, I'm getting the Performance Bumper instead.
