New Shoes
After nearly 3 months of waiting my new wheels arrived last week
I got Advan RZs Front 18x8 et45 with 225/40/18 Advan AD08 tyres Rear 18x9 et 50 with 255/35/18 Advan AD08 tyres I'm loving the look of them and they are about 3.5kgs lighter per corner than my old wheels! Thread is worthless without pics (even if they are just my shitty iphone pics)so... Freshly bolted on and then immediately to the race track where I dropped 2 seconds off my long track time and half a second off my short track time. Big improvement. Then after a wash and a few coats of wheel sealant. The finish on them is really deep and glossy, looks awesome when clean. |

Damn, looks good. Goes great with the dark line LCI. I considered getting them but they're pretty expensive shoes.

Yeah definitely not cheap. But lightweight, strong and they look awesome as a bonus.
And a funny anecdote, as an experiment I didn't tell my fiancée I was changing wheels so I could see how long it takes her to notice. Not a small change, 19" silver wheels to 18" dark gunmetal wheels. They were changed on Thursday and she's walked past my car in the carport at least a dozen times and I even picked her up from the city in it so she saw me drive up to her. Still hasn't noticed. |

Haven't done too many kms yet but seems to be a big improvement. Absorbs bumps without thumping down.
Tyres are noisier but not unliveable. |

My wife didn't notice that I replaced the side markers from chrome to black, but did notice the car was lowered..go figure. |

They were supposed to send the centring rings so I could use the BMW caps but accidentally sent these. I'm keeping these ones. |

It looks awesome!
Does the car feel quicker in acceleration and pick up? Mind telling where you got it from?

Can't say I've really noticed quicker acceleration. It does have a big effect on turn in, changing directions and how the suspension copes with bumps.
Got them from Wheels World in Osborne Park. |
