135i N55 M3 Cowl Mod?

So I recently purchased the BMS cowl filter replacement for my 2011 N55 135i and seeing it with the cowl and all the HVAC covers off has got me kinda nervous. Kinda leaning towards doing the M3 Cowl mod but running just the lower covers so I can still use the BMS cowl filter? Does anyone have an up to date part # list for the M3 Cowl replacements for the 135i? Also does year factor into it? I've seen people order the 2013 covers? Does it really matter? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Our cowls come off in two parts, the top part is the air filter, and the heavy bottom part.

If you reinstall the bottom section without the top section, it fits below the BMS cowl filters. Personally, I haven't looked at the M3 cowls, but I expect it'd be only this bottom section of the M3 cowls you need.

Alternatively, a lot of people just cut the OEM 135i bottom section so it follows the same pattern as the M3 version.

I have the M3 cowl, it's 100% worth doing IMO.

Or if you can deal with your car looking like a hoopty just cut it.

Do you know if it makes a difference wether or not you have the N55 or N45? Also did you have an up to date parts list? The part lists I see for it seem to never show the lower cowl, like the replacement for the lower heavy bit.

I do not have a parts list....but no it's the exact same on both N54 and N55.
