So Long Addicts!
Well, just watched my beloved 135 drive away with it's new owner. Be lying if I said I didn't have a little lump in my throat. What a great car!
And this has been a great forum! Want to thank all for the fun/answers and advise I've gotten from members over the last 9 years. I really think this group of owners is special, just like the car. Moved on (up) to an M2, and can already tell that forum is not going to be as fun (you know how we always rolled our eyes at those M people ). Anyway, keep the 1er alive. And continue to enjoy the cars!! Rob Last edited by TMR013; 03-31-2018 at 10:22 AM.. |

I've got the bug bad!
But I think I'm sticking with my baby. But she's getting some augmentation. :-)

Did you put an option to buy it back in the sale for the 135i?

That's a tough question because I'm still trying to figure it out. It's definitely more distant feeling, especially at low speed. But the few times I've flogged a little (still in break in period), it seems to tighten up quite nicely. Won't really know till after break in and I can get it out on a good road.

From a "precision driving" perspective (which I have not done), such as on a track at high speed, I would guess that the M2 is better than all. I like hydraulic steering, and from my perspective it's better than an iteration of electric steering I've ever experienced. On the other hand, the M2 has pretty good EPS, for what it is.

I test drove the M235i a few times and didn't like the EPS and have also heard the M2's EPS is pretty good. Will reserve judgement till I actually get behind the wheel and see for myself.

True that although with these BMWs, you could speed without even needing to mash the throttle!

Yep... you're driving along and look down at the speedo and the next thing you know you're going 90.
