Looks awesome. And it makes me very happy looking at them since the car I waited for is Titanium Silver with black leatherette and it looks really nice! Only difference is that mine is a touring with x-drive, manual 6 and with titanium matte trims. (eh, that was quite a big difference...)

Btw, how does the leatherette feel compared to genuine leather?

It's not as soft and of course doesn't smell like leather. A BMW enthusiast will know it's not leather but I swear over 15 people have sat in this car today and not one has questioned whether or not it is leather.

My decision was easy. Didn't want the premium package - my compass is in my Nav, who needs folding mirrors, I don't need Bluetooth, I don't need BMW Assist - it's called a cell phone and the phone numbers are also in the Nav - I had an Onstar account and found it totally worthless. The one time I needed it, I was out of cellular range on top of Skyline Drive so it was useless, and my homelink is a garage door opener on my keyfob. I am a geek but even I do not have house lights that I can (or even want) to switch from my car.

So I could have bought just the leather for $1500 or put it into other options. Since this is a lease and the 3 series leather is maybe not that durable and the leatherette is a pretty good substitute, I went with it.

In your pictures, the leatherette looks grey, is that because of the flash, and does it than appear black irl?

No flash. It is daylight. I would say it is charcoally. Not black black but black with a bit of gray

Certainly not as gray as the photos seem to make it look.

Btw, I noticed another difference between US models and European (Swedish at least). The indicators in the front are orange on your car, but white over here, with a ´n orange bulb. I wonder why they do that differently? Perhaps some US rule?

Thanks for sharing. I was on the Patriot, but I am still waiting for delivery. Received an email from my dealer that it will be in on Monday and I am taking delivery on Wednesday Feb 15th.
