2 spacers per wheel?

Theoretical question here: I have a 5mm spacer and a 3mm spacer. Can they be stacked on top of one another?

Would this be any different than using a single 8mm spacer (unavailable)?

That is my initial thought, but I can't justify why. I'm looking for some reasoning.

bc the wheel will not be supported by the double stacked spacers. It could cause vibrations and not center your wheel properly.

I should've noted, I have the 75mm APEX stud conversion kit.

However, I don't know the length of the hub lip.

The hub will not support the wheel at 8mm. I have 5 mm spacers on front and opted for hub extenders because IMO the hub had too little left to properly support the wheel. At 8mm there will definitely be no hub to support the wheel.

I just went out and test-fitted them for the heck of it. You're right, not enough to support the wheel.

Anyone want to buy some 3mm spacers?

If I remember right, if handling is your thing using spacers is bad because your car was designed so that the weight was centered inline with your springs/shocks. Your altering your scrub radius as well which will effect steering, also double stacking spacers is a no no! Your wheel bearings will pay the price.

The hub lip should be around 11mm (mine is).
The biggest non hubcentric spacer I would use is 5mm which will still leave 6mm of hub lip, even then I would prefer not to.

That seems about right. When I put the 3mm on top of the 5mm to check, there was only about 3mm left. I'm sticking with the 5mm in back. Maybe if I roll the fenders, I'll grab a 10mm that has an extended hub lip integrated.
