BMW Winter Training @ Sölden / Austria

Hi all!
Today I returned from a very nice trip to Sölden / Austria
I attended a BMW Winter Training from Wednesday to Friday and want to share some pics with you. I guess many of you know already the different BMW Trainings, so this is probably nothing new.. but maybe I can surprise some of you.

We had to handle a slalom track, braking, braking + lane change, drifting and 180° switch with the 330i on the first day and the second day we were driving up the hill with the X5 on closed roads, totally covered with snow..
But the coolest part was the drifting exercise with the 330i

If you would like to read the entire story, check out the post in my blog BMW Wintertraining Sölden

So.. enough of talking, here are the pics.. hope you like them

The hole group stayed at the Central Spa Hotel Sölden

Driving up the mountain the other day

The training area @ 2.800 Meters (~ 9.000 FT)

Ready to start

If someone wants to know additional informations, just start asking

Regards, Chris

Till now quite well, but its his first winter and if the roads are permanently in that "salt" conditions i may have to visit the car wash a little bit more than last year...

I can only highly recommend it to everyone who is able to take part in such a training.

BMW offers the hole winter period from December till March the Winter Trainings.. besides Sölden, there is also a 1-day Training at Lungau (Austria) offered. You just have to sign up at the german BMW side (http://www.bmw.de/de/de/insights/dri.../overview.html).

Yes, the 330i is still available here in Europe.. we have the ranking: 325 - 330 - 335 (i only included six-cylinder). The 330i with its 272hp is the standard vehicle for the Sölden Winter Training.

Yes, it was 225/40 R17 all around..!
The car handeld very well with that tyre setup.. thats also a reason why i want to switch to this winter tyre setup with my 135i at the next winter season.

I'm thinking about signing up... basically I'm debating whether I should save the $795+tax and put it towards a summer driving course (like the Advanced course). Would you say it's really worth it?

Definitely YES!
IMHO its much more better than the summer training i attended till now. The exercises are pure fun in the snow and the landscape, training-programm etc. made the two days perfect..!

In short words like Nike says: Just do it!
