Ah yes, I forget that! I have to say in QLD we are a bit spoilt for choice when it comes to dealerships, especially if you're willing to drive an extra few km's.

I've always said I would shop interstate for every car just to compare (and sleep better at night) but I've been fortunate enough to get the deal I wanted locally (in QLD) every time.

It almost seems unfair how one dealer has a monopoly over BMW in WA though.

Over here some dealers are prepared to go the extra mile because if we're not satisfied I'll take my money to the next dealership. The dealership knows I feel this way too so they do try.

that is the way it is in WA there is only one dealer for BMW, MB, Audi, Porsche etc etc.

+1 some of the Specialist BMW shop only knows old school cars. eg BM Techniks, I wouldn't trust them with your car....

Thanks guys, all good info here. Unlike when I ordered the 135, I am not in a rush, so will take my time. I'll also check out other dealers interstate, but I would think a custom order would be fairly similar. We'll see.

Best way is just to be straight up and negotiate on change-over price. If you don't like it try another dealer - interstate even.
