9" wheel up front?
Anyone running a 9" wide et42 wheel up front? Will it work?
I have a 3/4" drop and -2.5* camber and a slight fender roll. Currently running an 8.5" et45 with a 10mm spacer (effectively et 35) and 225 tireup front with no problem. I want to run the 9"et42 without a spacer and a 255 tire. Am I asking for trouble or will I need an extreme fender pull? Please help as I need to decide soon. Thanks!

You'll need a spacer to clear the damper. Also need to reduce to at least a 35 ratio on an 18" wheel.

All that sounds doable. I've done or have most of that already. I've never fully looked into shaving the bumper tab. I'll look into that next.

Yep, you'll need to use as small a spacer as possible too. On my car I think I'd need a 3mm spacer to get it to not rub the wheel, then however much extra for how far the tire sticks out past the wheel.

I am running a 9" wheel on the front with 225/40/18
Offset is 38mm and I am running a 5mm spacer to clear coilovers. It would be tough to run a 255 tire in my opinion but if you do make sure to get the sidewall a 35. Pics after, I am sure we would all like to see it. Edit: -2.4 camber Last edited by tglazed; 04-27-2015 at 02:28 PM.. |
