Thumbs up Don't Sell It For TOO Much!

Much as I want to add the 1 coupe to my extremely slick '07 A3 Audi 2.0T 6M, I'd hate to pay more than about 25k (US) for it. I'd like the smaller of the engines (gas/not diesel). 250hp works well enuff for me.

Are there any sites that have color samples? That copper color looks rich! Wonder what else will be available?

Thoughts on holding the base model price to about 25k?

Current rumor is the 128i will start at $27K.

We are not getting the 250HP motor, in case you missed all the ranting by myself and others. And I think MSRP $25K is too optimistic. Try $27K.

Which is a good number, only issue I can see with that car is not enough power for under $30K, the car mags that drive the 128i will probably rip it to pieces...

Seriously.... A back to basics BMW is what I am looking/longing for. The latest technology put into an update E30 with the weight kept in check. No piggies!

I'm praying for Le Mans Blue! Fat chance getting that on a non-M car.

Why would car magazines rip apart a 128i??
Most magazines gets 6.1 to 60 out of a 328i? A 128i with that same engine is going to be MIGHT QUICK. I dont get it. BMW cant afford to mess up with this car, ESPECIALLY with the model that will sell the most. The 128i!!!!
The only reason I'm not interested in it is because I'm a speed junkie and will not have a car thats slower than my current.

You guys are not going to like this, but I am hearing from a VERY reliable source that the 128i will start at $31k and the 135i will start around $37k (USD). This is a respected source who is employed by BMW NA and his seen the car many times and will drive it within the next few months.

LoL. If this is true then they are pricing the car to keep buyers out of the brand. Either that or cars have gotten hell of expensive. I'm not giong to get excited until I see something official though.

I'll go $31K on a 130 coupe with M-pack. Otherwise, they're about to overplay their hand. Hopefully they won't get greedy and blow it.

That's only $1-3k less than a 3 series depending if you compare it to sedan or coupe. There is no way BMW is that stupid.

A BMW NA employee that is currently conducting BMW Center training throughout the United States. I can not disclose my dealing with this said person as I risk the loss of my employment.
