These things are fantastic, guys. I just cleaned up the interior for the winter and installed them today. I HIGHLY recommend them, as the fitment is perfect and doesn't impact the use of the pedals AT ALL.

Hope the pics help you make up your minds!

Hey Jason, thanks a lot for taking the time to post these, we can finally see them in action

They definitely seem to provide a lot of coverage, up the sides etc.

Can anyone tell me how the driver's side anchors? I see they put the holes in the mats for hooks, but our car doesn't have hooks. Do they come with the mats?

Mine didn't come with hooks/anchors, but they honestly don't need them. They stay in place quite well. IF you're worried about them sliding, it's as easy as buying some stick-on velcro to put on the underside of the liners that will interface with the stuff already on the floor.

Why are there hook holes if we dont have hooks? seems like dirt and crud can get in there.

The OEM all weather mats I had for my previous car (MINI) had the hook holes and I didn't put the hooks there after I washed the mats the first time (too lazy)... there was no dirt/crud under the hook holes after 160k km/7 yrs of driving when I traded in my MINI.. apparently it was the cleanest part of the interior...

so don't worry about it...

Received mine today. They're very nice.

I'm an Audi guy, and Audi makes really nice super thick. heavy OEM Audi winter mats, even ones with the Audisport logo on them, so I was disappointed to see that the BMW winter mats were dainty, chintzy numbers with no waterholding capacity.

I ordered the Weathertechs and the fitment is *perfect*. They fit tightly, and with lots more coverage than I've ever seen on a mat. The cheesy Weathertech logos come off and don't leave residue. The liners are a bit more shiny poly looking than the thick full black rubber I prefer, but I suspect they'll hold even more water and they'll definitely protect even more of the carpet than the ones in my Audi. They're not gloss shiny or anything, just definitely not matte.

Anyway, highly recommended. I'd give em 8.5 stars out of 10. Demerit points only for the semi-shininess and the orphan holes for retainer clips in a car that doesn't have retainer clips. Silly, for a 100% custom product.

I'm no chemist, but I think part of the reason they're shiny is a byproduct of the plastic they use... Give them a few weeks of use and then take them out of the car and clean them. Unlike typical, cheap plastic (or even rubber) mats, these things clean up REALLY nicely. With only a rag and water, they wiped completely clean of all dirt, grime and [what I thought would be] stains.

I'm not sure if it's some sort of polymer mixed in the blend or even some other additive, but pretty much anything that hits these things comes off like burnt food on a Teflon-coated pan.

I wasn't huge on the sheen either, but after seeing this, I'm even more pleased with their performance.

135i coupe part number is 442531. Google shopping says best price is $100, which is Weathertech's price, so I'd just grab 'em directly from Weathertech.

I just got a set directly from MacNeil. Early posts here said to beware of their customer service, and thee was a disgruntled customer in the lobby. I've never had a problem (maybe that's the key), the mats fit and look great.
