"Scheduled for production but no confirmed production date"
What in the world does that mean? OC shows "on order" but I know that's behind. I called the 800 number, and the guy said it's scheduled for production but there's no production date set. Couldn't even get a build week. Doesn't that mean, by definition, that it's not scheduled??
I asked him if that meant production would be within a couple of weeks and he said "most likely, it means they're gearing up and getting close."

That's funny. I wonder if one could use that technique for "scheduling" a wedding?

it means BMW has accepted the order and they are in the process of determing when your car will be put in the production line for build Q

I am in the same boat. I just got my production number this morning. I checked the OC and it simply states "On Order." I called the 1-800 # and it gave me the exact same message (on order with no confirmed production date).
OC lists the right car and color but totally wrong options. Based on what I read around here, I am not going to panick quite yet...:iono:

I think it means "Yes we're going to build your car. Sometime. When we feel like it."

On OC my 1 moved from "on order" to "scheduled for production" last weekend. I called on Monday to ask about a production date. They said it should be about 1 to 2 weeks before they start production. I called 800 again today to get an update and they told me it was already in production and is scheduled to be complete by next Monday!!! So that's about 9 days from when it first showed up on OC as "scheduled". BTW my SA told me this was supposed to be a week 10 production. It seems to be a week early.

I just call my dealer. There are different codes that are updated in the computer but will not change the status in the OC. Mine was upgraded form 111 to 112 today, in the OC it still means the same "On Order" but 112 is a warning to the dealer that if they want to change something they better do it now. So I would call the dealer they might be able to give you better status...thats what i am going to do..:iono:

I've been in that same limbo since placing my order Dec30 -- On Order per OC; Scheduled for Production with No Confirmed Production Date per 800 #.
However -- good news to report! Dealer called today to say that I am in production FINALLY!!!

My week 10 production (this week) has now been bumped to week 12 by the powers that be...looks like BMW has some ground to make up.
Hope this provides some solace for anyone else out there stuck "on order"...

I wonder how close our cars are on the production line?!? What did you order? 128 or 135? Options?
