Well, lets see if I can find that piece of paper again.

Please do

I consider myself an intermediate track driver - have experience at Sears Point, Big Willow, Laguna Seca in DE's and a formal 3-day school. In my modded e36M3, Barber Mx5, and shifter karts.

Looks to me at least -1.5 is achievable w/out camber plates, but on a lowered suspension. If I go this route (say w/ KW V3), I'll only have to worry about keeping myself on a leash and not bombing each corner and rolling the fronts over on themselves. Budget permitting I like to save that type of driving to rented and insured equipment.
Hi ! I went to my Bimmer specialist to say hello. He's an engineer and is racing as well. He told us that pulling the pins would allow at least 0.5 degree extra negative camber. Maybe more, but he hasn't done it on a 1M yet. My mate was there, too, and after 12000KM on them, his front PS2's are shot due to outer and center wear. He did 4 track days this year. I'm starting to consider having those pins pulled, and go towards -2.0 to save my front tires ...

0.5 sound excessive to me. I'm thinking more like 0.2 max. The pins are tiny and don't require any physical pulling to remove them.

Mhhh, I don't know. I think that pulling the pins allow more range in camber... Anybody with more info ?

Sorry, was away for a while. Car is running KW v3, and the handling was improved, sterring seems to be more direct, car is pointier, if you know what I mean. Samll downside is a bit more tramlining, but I can live with it.

That's all that I picked up before I switched over to camber plates.

Great - and ride comfort? Can you adjust to be as comfortable, or more comfortable than stock if you wanted?

Yes... nearly everyone that posted in this thread..

Seriously.. there is a serious DISCONNECT in this thread between those who are opining based on previous or other BMW models vs those that are giving anecdotal factual evidence from experience on a 1M ....

Thanks Neil - so what was the max camber you ended up w/ before going to the plates?

~1.2 ish?

Your answer will likely end the main purpose of this thread.

Yes, I believe it was 1.2 on one side and 1.3 on the other.

Hi guys ! In january, I'll go max camber on mine, including removal of the pins. I'm now at minus 1.2, and will report on this thread when the job is done. CU, Deejay.

I have set it up a bit harder than the stock shocks, but it`s possible to have it just as comfy (or even more so) than the stock set up. And the ride is miles better than stock, especialy the rear of the car feels more planted and safer.
