brake problem

Just wondering if anyone have had this problem. After a car wash at a gas station then park the car in the garage over night or more. The next time i start the car put it in gear and i have a hard time getting the car to move. I had to give a lot of gas to get it out. The dealer said the brake pads are stuck to the rotor because of moisture. anyone experience this before?

To prevent this it is advisable to dry the brakes. To dry the parking brake, I follow the procedure in the manual (p49 in the 2010 manual, under parking brake), normally bring the car to a stop from about 50km/h. With the disc brakes, I just maintain about 50km/h in 3rd gear while gently left-foot braking for about 500m. Usually do both of these procedures on the way back from the car wash. I've done this for many years on the cars I've owned and never had a problem with brake corrosion after washing the car.

^^ What he said.

In addition, if you're parking on a level surface after washing your car, put the car in gear when it's off and don't apply full force (or any) on the handbrake. This should allow your brakes to dry off without being in contact with the rotors.

Why would it do that thou? Is it the material of the brake ? I've never had this problem with my car.
