Unless your dealer is like mine and puts in fake customer info to get P1 options for lot cars, lol.

Just got back from the dealer, finalizing the trade in # on my 09 Mini S. Only 19K on the trade! Its real hard to sell on the open market and that 135i is calling to me so its gonna get done at that price. Tomorrow we go sign the Paperwork. Thanks again for all the cool pics and comments.

Here's a pic of mine with Montego Blue. I love it, and everyone who gets in the car makes comments about it.

Terra is a really sharp color. I had a similar brown leather on my last bimmer (with Jet Black paint) and always got compliments on it.

How could black leather NOT be available on a special order? Terra is way better anyway...

2010's are no longer in production. I gave my dealer a list of options on a new 2010 car and this was the one that came closest to my wants. The only differences were no premium sound, no convience(?) and terracotta leather. I jumped on the car as I wanted that over a 2011.

Terra

(I love my terra too) But one thing I've noticed, in photographs, terra appears a shade toward orange. But in real life, it's more brown - which I like better. Just something to note, if you like the pics, you'll really LOVE it when you see it in person.

+1 Agree about many of the pics I've seen making it seem orangey. In reality, it's more like a football in color.

Terra is great. Had it on a 2004 X3, but it was shortly thereafter discontinued. Always have a tning for brown leather (Caramel in the M5, Brown Saddle in the X5, etc.).

That's the factory knob, no SSK.

Will Terracotta look good with Space Gray?

Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether Terracotta is a good fit for Space Gray? I just told the dealer to order a 2011 128i this way and was wondering if anyone else has done this combination on a 1 series.

If anyone has pictures - those are welcome too.

Personally, I think terra would look good with any color. I am so glad I ordered it!! Here's an old pic. It even looks good with with the BMW performance wheel, shift knob/boot, and handbrake. I'll get some updated pictures this spring.

Smile

Thanks for the different angle. I've tried putting the two colors next to one another on the computer screen - and I think it works. Still, nothing beats seeing a color in person. But I do like terra.... and space gray.... so I figured I'd roll the dice.

You might try E90 post and see if you can find the combo over there. Larryn had a E90 that was sparkling graphite with terra that was stunning!!!

SG is a neutral color and looks good with almost anything. Terra would probably add some warmth to SG's cool feel.

My bet is that SG/Terra would make a very nice contrast.

SG/TC is a nice combo, but thats only my opinion. Everybdy needs to decide for themselves what they want.

i'm guessing the OP didnt "order" the car. He took one that was already built, in transit. prob an order that was backed out of (being it was P1 optioned)

his dealer prob wasnt able to find one with black leather with all the other options he wanted.

"ordering" is when you tell the SA the color, trim, and options you want before it's built.

either way terra looks cool. i had saddle in my last car, and wanted something a little different.
