It is a bit tricky to find tires that work well on the 911- most wide modern tires short of R compounds are designed for far more load, and you notice them not working due to both construction and compound. Haven't tried the RS3s on it yet, but I think it might struggle on them.

the RS3s weigh a TON compared to the Hoosiers and continentals I had been running. My 18s with arc 8s weigh significanltly more than my stock setup, or at least my back is telling me that. And I agree, on a lighter weight car...they'd feel like lead shoes. |

I weighed the stock 19s with PS2s and the 18s RS3 with arc 8 and i saved 1 to 2 lbs per corner so its lighter than stock. This is with 265 front and 285 rear RS3s. I wish i still had the pics that showed the weights. Its not a huge savings but its still a tad lighter than stock.

Stock fronts: 48.8 lbs each Stock rears: 52.0 lbs each Apex fronts: 47.8 lbs each Apex rears: 50.4 lbs each The Apex wheels are quite a bit lighter, but with the Hankooks, there is only a slight weight savings overall. But, anything lighter helps just a bit. |
