My Zaino'd One

First time for me. I did a decent job. Next time I will remember to have more towels on hand. I washed with Dawn, Clay bared, washed with Zaino car wash, Polished with Z2 and flash enhancer (2 coats), and then used Z6 Gloss Enhancer as a final coat.

Looks fantastic. Great job.

I just ordered the Zaino Kit#2 last night. Never used it before. How long did it take you?

Thanks! Took me almost 4 hours. Probably could have taken a little longer. You have to wait a half hour in between Z2 coats. This stuff cost me $92 and there is so much left! I could probably detail my whole family's cars! Take your time and make sure you have at least 4 or 5 cotton towels on hand. If you clay bar make sure you strip the wax off with Dawn detergent liquid soap. Zaino's website has very detailed instruction.

Looks really good! I'm still debating going for some Griots Garage wax or the Zaino stuff. I think Zaino will be the better of the two but I wonder if it is worth the extra time and effort. Yours turned out really well.

Yes I did! My day went like this 1) gym in morning 2) detail car for 4 hours 3) roller hockey game at 2pm 4) Surprise party at night! Needless to say I was beat and yes I am addicted to this car! It is quite sickening.

Nice job! I've never Z'ed before either but I plan on doing it for the first time with this car. Did you find the instructions on the Zaino site to be pretty thorough?

Your car is hot! Nice job on the detail. I just got some Montego touch up paint from Bavauto. I found a tiny chip in the front. Oh well it was bound to happen. Had my A4 for two years and no chips! Figures.

You missed a spot.

I keed, I keed, looks super. Never used Zaino products. Larry was just waxing poetic (sorry) about Griots. Anyone used both?

I washed my 128i yesterday with 'Joy' soap from the kitchen sink. I kid you not. And it looks perfect, to me. But, after a pretty good verbal b*tch-slap from a car buddy after I told him, he was bragging on some other product line. So, I am getting ready to spend a few bucks on fine car care products - recommendations, please?

If you want to get away with one major detail a year, get Zaino. I don't know another product line that can provide the durability(I do one major detail every may and water is still beading on my hood with nothing more then a weekly wash). You can even get back that super slick feeling in between polishing with the detail spray.

Just layer up z-2 and it will be set for months.

Tip: Use no pressure when applying(no more than the weight of your hand). It will make removing the product as easy as dragging a towel across the surface. Remember as thin a layer as possible or your just wasting product. You should be able to cover the car atleast 3 times after filling the small viles with product and the catalyst. Check out the website.

You used Z6 as your last step product? Isn't Z6 used as a quick detailer or a pre-wax gloss? I'm still new to detailing, so I may be wrong.
