Vote for the Best Tune for N55
Looking for the best tune for the 2011 135i N55. Not looking to beat up my engine. Just looking for a stable tune that will enhance the performance. Thanks.

I had the same thought process. I ended up getting BMW Performance Package Kit. (PPK). Nice upgrade. Only 20hp increase. Noise increase is nice as well. *supposed to get louder once it gets broken in. But cant give much feedback on the other tunes.
- bonus with PPK is its under bmw warranty. |

cobb
Cobb with a ptf etune. Car runs great, big power bump with fbo, and I can easily go back to stock.

Most don't buy AA because people enjoy their warranty and don't want something they can't change back. I have a JB4, but I want to change to a PTF E tune soon. I feel it has some room for improvement with the car specific tune and a flash instead of a piggy since I have no plans for methanol. I just wish my turbo would take a crap so I would have a reason to get an upgraded offering! Haha. Modding isn't a bug. Bugs go away. It's a disease.

They are all good, but when adding price of each I would have to pick Jb4

I'm sold on the logging on the Cobb. It seems vastly superior to what you can get with a JB. Particularly the polling rate (logs per second), availability of parameters like individual cylinder timing, and number of items logs simultaneously. The pure volume of data you get seems to be 5-10 times more than you get out of a JB.
I'm also generally not a fan of piggybacks that intercept and fake out the factory ECU. Oddly seems like the JB does well, but it concerns me in general to put blinders on the factory ECU which is incredibly advanced rather than just changing the factory ECU's parameters and keeping all its smarts in full working order. Don't know about AA.

Thank you to everyone who voted. I just ordered the Cobb from Mike@x-ph.com. If anyone is interested in buying a tune, send Mike a PM, you will not be disappointed.
