My E90 325i (For the Weekend)

I took my car in for the recall this morning and I got another e90 325i as a loaner. I really wish I purchased the ZPP, I love the back support and the auto-dim rear view mirror.

The Step is the best auto tranny I have driven to date, it feels very wierd though coming from a manual. I like the DS mode, I use it in town and to get on the highway, then I change back to normal for highway use.

I find the non zsp seats to be "big" as I have lots of room to move around in them. The steering wheel feels wire-thin compared to my M-wheel.

The standard stereo is lacking IMO. I never really appreaciated the Logic 7 until today when I plugged in my Ipod.

The ride is soft compared to what I remember of the ZSP and compared to my current setup. I suspect the huge sidewalls of the 16" tires helps alot in this regard.

Overall, I am again impressed by BMW. Although this setup is not what I would've chosen, it's still a great car.

Danny

I had a similar experience when I got a loaner... My car is a 325 and so was the loaner, but it was in auto without the sports package...

Its a good car, but again, not what I would have chosen... I also appreciate the premium package more now... I would die without bluetooth...

hi HRC, your loan vehicle's rims are identical to my stock 320i, must be 16inch right? surprised that u find the step good, maybe i am the odd manual guy, but the 6 speed manual in your 218 horse car will be tonnes better to drive. i usually get put off when i see an auto box. it just does not inspire me to hop into the car to drive it. i test drove the lexus is250 on friday with 6 speed paddle shift. did not quite entertain me despite having a 6 cylinder engine.

For an automatic, this is the best auto I have driven. Better than my manual? Not for me!

Yea, I just called and set an appointment up. I said I needed the emissions recall. I didn't need my letter to get the service done, but I had it just in case.
