I should add I'm heading in for the afternoon session also. I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on a 328i (Liquid Blue with the Veneto Beige leather, Luxury spec... not that I've been thinking about it...)

My mate's also thinking about blue with beige leather! But apparently the M Sport kit's not available for a couple months.

I just received my confirmation for the afternoon session. However, it makes no note of my guest who is coming with me. Did anyone else get their confirmation stating a guest?

They are even providing parking (which was a worry)

are they providing parking? it just says parking is available at brisbane convention centre

maybe I didn't get the "special" invite

Motorline launch is different to Brisbane/Westside BMW one...

Good thing I still have a pre-paid ticket from an event at BCEC last week.

My office is across the road from the BCEC so I have a park there. I was worried how motor line was going to deal with 50 extra cars down at daisy hill.
Still miffed westside didn't invite me when I have bought two cars from them in the last 18 months and motor line has when I haven't bought anything from them (yet).

Where? Westcoast BMW - don't know the exact addy... but you can google it. Its from 10am-1pm. Im not sure about Autoclassic... never heard from them.

I did get to Gosnells (bogan ville...) after work to see Abbe May play/sing at a free gig. If you get a chance to see her, go. She's very good.
Home to Brisbane tomorrow after three weeks in the west! Hopefully will make it to Lakeside on Friday.

By the sounds of it, Westsides/Brisbane's launch was the worst? Cool intro to the car though and probably something I'll never see again. Worst sound system for the music though.

I liked the car, looks better and interior is better. Sport line interior is probably the worst with that ugly line across the dash. Loved the stitching though. Decent pricing too.

I wasn't overly impressed by the presentation. When we got to go up on the stage to see the cars, they should have known that four cars wouldn't have been enough for everyone to get a good look at without bumping and fighting for position. I will say though that the Tron style car introduction was cool (was it projected onto the car, or did the car cover produe the images?) but the crud sound system was rather disappointing and far too loud.

As for the cars, I thought they looked pretty good. I'm still not convinced that the new nose matches the rear, but I'm sure it will grow on me. The Sport line was my pick but the red line across the dash would have to go if I ordered one. After all, it's still a luxury car, not a ricer buzzbox. The sales people were very coy (perhaps uninformed) about the release date of the M3.

It was interesting that they served alcohol but no food. It could have become quite messy.
