FMIC pipings & Fittings Query

I just have a query regarding what piping to use once the fmic is upgraded. I'm going with a ams fmic and it appears that the oem uppipes are retained?

Does anyone go for a 'hard' pipe kit on these applications for the N54, or do you guys all just use the supplied silicon fittings supplied with the fmic?

Just use the supplied silicon couplers that come with the kit. The AMS unit is nice. I have the ETS. Both are good intercoolers and will do exactly what they should, lower your IAT's. I would hurry as its summer now and you can get some good use out of it while ambients are up.

As far as I'm aware both ETS and AMS require no cutting.

Better to cut clamp off rather than pry - the entry pipe apparently is quite soft and can bend if prying.
