Special Trick for CAN BUS LED Bulbs?

I recently bought a set of LED bulbs from eBay and they are supposed to be CAN BUS safe, meaning they do not throw error codes or fast-flash. Others from the forum have bought the same bulbs from the same vendor and gotten them to work. When I installed them I got the above two errors. Is there something special I need to do to install these bulbs? I heard something about possibly disconnecting the battery before installing? Anyone with experience or advice on this topic would be much appreciated.

For reference, these are the bulbs I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280778657694

Don't mess about ... just let MyLitCo know and they will replace them. See this thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...page=3&post=45

The resistors have probably gone/blown/are faulty. Ask for a replacement.

OK, so I contacted the seller, MyLitCo, on eBay and they said for BMW you have to unhook the battery and possibly even the fuses to prevent getting an error code. I have no experience with the fuses, so that my be challenging, but I'll try and report back.

Meh, I didn't do any of that and didn't have any issues upon installing. Keen to see if that helped.
