COBB vs JB4?
Hey guys future 135i owner here, I've searched and can't really find the difference between the COBB AC and the JB4. Anyone care to enlighten me?
Most likely will be N54

cobb flash tune, jb4 piggyback (cables connected to the ecu to manipulate reading and alter stuff). i own a cobb, because i bought it used for dirt cheap 3 years ago. cobb does not support n54 anymore therefore they do not release any updates never had jb4 but heard nothing but great things about it. mhd tuning is a better flash tune you should look into. jb4 does cluster hijack mode oh and this has been discussed plenty of times search for more info but i got u started

if you can't find the diff between a cobb and a jb4, then I don't think you really searched.
that said, if you get N54 then just get MHD flash and stack jb4 on top. You'll be happier.

OP, Cobb is flash tune, it changes stock fuel, air and boost maps (plus many more). JB4 is a piggyback that control boost to make power. Out of the box, JB4 will make a lot more power + more features, support and upgrade for half the price. We carry both and JB4 is a better option at this time vs Cobb |

Cobb offers the ability to optimize the tune via software when on a dyno with a shop that can tweak the tune OR with a company like Pro Tuning Freaks that can optimize your tuning tables based on recorded pulls via email. Basically you record 3 or 4 pulls in a specified gear as recommended by the tuner and then send that data for them to tweak. They will then send you a new file to upload into the Cobb Access Port that will be a customized tune based on your car. They will also ask you questions as to the modifications you have done to better optimize the tune.
Protune = Professional Tune
