ER wide front N5 wide rear - complete

Here you go... First 135i that i know of with this combo. I was told this was the last ER kit produced. Apparently their supplier went out of biz. Who knows. Anyway - this allows me to run 18x10 et25 wheels with a square 275/35 street and a 265/35 race slick. Traction is no longer an issue! Front end push is no longer an issue. This thing sticks like glue.

Not the ideal color combo right now i know. Plan is to peel and re-dip all one color once i get some cash back in my pocket. I think that will definitely help the big black rears blend in a bit more. Oh and that front mesh needs to be black asap. like today. And i need to lower the front a bit more now that i know i'm not rubbing.

Thoughts?

Car looks awesome. You're leaving the exposed rivets, correct?

Looks like a track monster. How much work to put in the rear fairs? How much of the rear fenders were cut?

Yes i am! I think the Rivets make it look racecar-ish

Its more of a monster than it ever was but can always use more power. The rears were not to hard. Cutting the fender and re-welding was probably the hardest part. I added more rivets under the car to better support the flares. I also molded the 2 pieces flare into one. I don't understand why they made them 2 pieces the small back piece has 2 rivets and would probably wave around at speed. So i Bondo'ed them back together.

This is a pic of the rears cut

well in my opinion(wich u asked for keep n mind) it looks ricey..
and in MY OPINION the 135 should be sport lux not Honda ebay special..
don't get me wrong .. the Hondas with the crazy camber and shit look cool.. but on a Honda.. not a german sports car.. idk ,my 2 cents

Not gonna judge it until it's all one body color. Rear flares look like they match the ER front kit well. Looking forward to more pictures.

That said, if it's just a track car, doesn't matter.

I would paint all the panels body color to tone it down a bit.

Space out those rears by like another inch (?) and this will look way better. Also definitely paint those panel to match. Really like that ER front though!

I think this had loads of potential to look really cool once all the panels are the same color or with a more cohesive theme!

I agree with all of you somewhat. I do get annoyed by the "ricey" culture of retarded camber and wheels. That is definitely not my intention here. This is a mostly track car and fitting big rubber is not for anything other than track performance. 100% agree it needs to get toned down with a single color sprayed on the the whole car. Right now the front is too flashy and rears are way to big and black for my taste. I've seen a racecar, that inspired this build, that was all white and the rears blended better. In my opinion the rear flares are a bit much and an inch too wide. but there are very few options for our cars. Keep in mind for track it is ideal (for the budget) to have the same wheel size and offset on the front and rear. This way you can rotate your slicks for max life. Currently the rear has a 5mm spacer, i'd like more but with studs thats max. I'll update this once i re-spray and tweak some of the little details. Definitely not a show car with a half gutted interior

I forgot to ask, do you rattle can or use a spray gun for your dip? It looks smooth so I'd assume spray gun, but some people have luck with certain colors in cans.

I've only used can on wheels before. Night and day difference with the spray gun they supply. worth every penny. I've done my car 2x now in my garage. First i blow the garage out to reduce the dust and crap. Then mask and spray. The real trick as they say in the videos they post, is to keep the wet edge and spray med / heavy. I'm not saying its easy but if you are somewhat intuitive and do some test sprays it comes out pretty good. as a bonus it protects the paint underneath

Great info! Hopefully I'll get these flares refitted and the car one color soon. I've run into some other issues requiring my attention first.

It looks a little rough around the edges now, but when it's all done in the same color, I think it will come together nicely.

Any possibility you could host the photos somewhere else? This is exactly what I am considering (or possibly an OEM 1M conversion $$$) and am hoping to see what this ended up looking like.

Thanks very much,
Mark
