Weight of OEM Double Spoke Style 182 Wheels?
Does anyone know the weight of the OEM BMW Double Spoke Style 182's front and back wheels that were put on 2012 135i with M Sport Package? The best I can tell the part numbers for these are:
BMW Double Spoke Style 182-Single Wheel / Front 36116775632 BMW Double Spoke Style 182-Single Wheel / Rear 36116777782 I've looked all around and can not find the weights. The BMW site does not even seem to list the weight: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/99...NDIVIDUAL-RIMS Thinking of upgrading wheels and would like to know if I am going to get any weight savings with new wheels. Thanks in advance Brandon Last edited by Brandon135i; 06-03-2015 at 07:24 PM.. Reason: added question mark to subject line |

Are you sure you don't mean style 261m?
see here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213685 Weights for the 261s can be found with a search on this forum. |

Thanks for the reply.
After too many hours reading I believe you are right, the style is 261m. Odd that when you walk through the BMW website for replacement wheels it gives you the 182. I believe from what I can gather the 182 is the older version of what became the 261. I also managed to get the weight, although reports vary from all the threads I read. But basically from this thread I get the weights of: bare 261M wheels from a 2012 135i: Front = 12.1kg = 26.7lb Rear = 12.6kg = 27.8lb Based on the above it seems like an upgrade to the new VMR 710 flow form wheels will save a few pound per wheel. Thanks again for the reply! Brandon |
