Magnaflow exhaust anyone?

Hey guys I'm looking into getting a cat-back Magnaflow exhaust and I just wanted to see if anyone had one and how it's been working for them.

I've had the Magnaflow on my car for a couple years and it's great. Added some Berk Resonated Midpipes last year and I get tons of compliments on the set up. It sounds so good I'm not sure I want to get catless DPs.

Magnaflow

Aren,

I had a Magnaflow, but my lovely bride doesn't like it. This is the best video I have. I think I was over-ranging the mic on my tablet. Very nice, deep sounding exhaust. I've taken it off to keep peace in the family. I'd love to sell it. Rich

Aren,

This video seems provide a good representation of the exhaust sound from various angles and driving styles. I personally have not heard the Magnaflow exhaust in person but from what I can tell from YouTube videos it sounds great!

Haven't yet seen one here at Helix. They are quite popular-if a little loud-in the MINI community.

I would love to hear the other cat-back exhausts available in person.

I went to my local muffler shop, and they installed a Magnaflow straight-through muffler for under $300 and my car sounds sweet, just like the vids I see, but of course there's the subtle differences in sound. It would be interesting to see how my $300 muffler compares.

I opted for a single tip, but the double tip could have also been installed for just a few more bucks.

Anyone in the North SF Bay area (Santa Rosa area) with any aftermarket exhausts that would be willing to meet up I'd buy them lunch, it would also be cool to meet up with other 1 owners.

Nice axle back they did there for you. I dont know if its because of the higher cost of living in Cali, or what, but they charged too much for that axle back. I love magnaflow and use their products on all of my vehicles. I also worked for my buddy who owns a muffler shop and did exhaust work with him for the last 3 years. The muffler shops cost down here in Florida for that exact same magnaflow "resonator" (Muffler) is 65 Bucks (Sometimes 50 depending on size). The crush bent tuning around 5 bucks for that piece and around 15-45 for that tip. My shop would have done that exact axle back for 200. Every shop is different though, and I dont want to make you feel like you overpaid for that axle-back. Like I said, the cost of doing buisiness is probably a lot higher than the shop I worked at. Either way, I'm sure it sounds good and I'll be doing a similar setup on my 135i soon. Magnaflow makes a great product and they include a lifetime warranty on anything they sell. Enjoy your setup!

Had a magnaflow axleback put together earlier today. Technically its just a resonator I needed to beef up the sound on top of a dp and mid cat delete. Will take a video and upload in abit.
