+1. But FAIL on the 2012 135i price (and by that, I mean BMW's, not the poster). Who would have thought the 135i would cost $40K base?! On a relative basis, the 1 ///M appears a bargain!

You can learn to go faster by learning to drive better, my 135is is faster than my previous M5 through turns. It isn't about the power or handling, it's about driver skill. I have instructed in many high hp cars and without a skilled driver, a good driver in a miata can be faster than them all.

Think about your mods. The best bang for the buck is with a driving school.
