Is this normal practice and do people go for it? I will be selling mine in the spring and would like to see if this works.

Curious what you'd sell the coils for.. If you were to part out.

Going to have to write this again to make it extra clear... NO PARTING OUT!!! That means don't text me at 1:40AM asking if I'll sell you the slek lip. Sigh.

The lip is glued and bolted to the bumper, the only way it's coming off is with the bumper. Meaning, if you want the slek lip you drive your BSM car to my car and trade me bumpers. Plus cash.

That goes for any aftermarket parts on the car. You replace them with your stock parts at your cost and we can talk. This offer is only available to locals obviously.

We'll just do this for shits n gig's.

ST coils - trade for your m sport suspension, you pay me $550 plus all install costs.

Slek lip with bumper - trade for your BSM bumper plus $550 and all install costs.

Slotted rotors and pads - trade for your stock brakes plus $400 and install costs.

VRSF downpipes/n55 mids/berk race - I get your full catted stock exhaust plus $600 and install costs.

VRSF intercooler - $250 plus your stock intercooler and install costs.

ER CP w/ tial bov - $350 plus your stock CP/DV and install costs.

Jb4 - only after all supporting mods sell, $250.

I'll let it all go for $2400, plus all stock parts from your car and install costs. This all cost me over $10k with install, it's good deal.

Again, no parting of individual parts without you having your car local to swap stock parts with. No parts without install costs covered by a shop - no backyard work, I want it done right.

Wes

Why are you swapping front bumpers for just the lip ? Is there no way to remove just the lip ?

As I said above, the lip is bolted and glued to the bumper. Just because it's carbon fiber doesn't mean it's strong - I had issues with the two sided tape from slek so I just got it glued. You could put the car on a lift and do pull ups on the lip. The bumper and lip are essentially one piece. On the bright side I've had them both far into the 2XX kmh range without any issues.

If betalink is the adhesive used it can still be removed from the bumper by a reputable body shop.

Heat gun and fishing line would do the trick to remove the lip without cracking the finish. Just seems like overkill to swap a whole bumper. Especially when trying to keep VIN numbers matching.

Would you be willing to explore possibly getting it professionally removed ?

The glue used will damage the lip if removed. The bumper and lip are now one. It's a waste of a shops time to bother trying to remove the lip and will potentially damage it and/or the bumper.

I'm not willing to move on the "part out" by much. I had no intentions of doing a part out so what I offered is a stretch already. Sorry.
