Really really weird that the Z4 version of the headers have no flange. I'm curious as to why they opted to do that. Either way, glad to hear the rest of the install proceeded as Supersprint installs always do.

Where have you been?
I've been settling into a new job and working on the 911. Recaros went in last weekend.

The place where Chrisar and myself dyno'd might be a place that works. It was pretty far south in NJ. It's a drive for me no matter where it is really since i'm so far east on the island so i'm down for whatever really as long as its within Jersey.

Use the map I posted and find a proper dynojet.

Sorry for late update. We hit a little snag, the 3" Aero resonator (6" diameter) is just too big. It's basically going to scrape over anything. So we're going to swap it for a Vibrant resonator which has a 4" diameter.

Everything is mandrel bent. The curve exiting from the headers isn't ideal but it's a function of the Supersprint design. The headers dump out so far it doesn't give much space to wrap the pipe around. We even trimmed some of the header length, but any closer and we would've begun approaching where the headers bend. However the current layout and bends actually mimic very closely to factory design.

Looks like a nice quality piece and design. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

I'm interested in getting a baseline as I plan to do headers and a tune eventually...

Here's first clip recorded on phone. The exhaust rumble is really deep, haven't taken out on road yet since everything isn't fully welded up. Plan to move the muffler in a little bit, initially wanted it out so the fumes wouldn't discolor the bumper but I think I have more space to work with.

What's the revs up to?

Sounds really good. After about 3-4k mine changes to a high pitch as where yours seems to be still tame and deeper.

I really wasn't giving too much gas, maybe letting off between 3-4k as well. The shop did say under load, you get a nice crackle in the higher rev range.

That muffler and res I've never heard of, I would recommend Magnaflow and Borla personally. I think it sounds really good so far though, can't wait to hear your inpressions.

Thanks, Flowmaster is really big in the American muscle scene but I've seen it used more and more on BMW race car builds. Aero is really popular among the S54 crowd and Vibrant is big in general.

Yep uploaded a new video with the Vibrant (replaced the old one). It's really loud lol but not crazy about the rasp on higher revs. I'm thinking of going Borla this time.

I was a Borla/Magnaflow fan boy, so that would have been my first suggestion (and the prices are very low/good)

How does the car feel?

I was never against those brands but when it came to pure resonator, neither of those fit. If anything I'm contemplating using the Borla muffler as a resonator. Low end torque is down but that was expected. But after 3500 rpm's the car really opens up all the way to redline

Hmm, you shouldn't have lost any torque at all....

But anxious to hear and see the results.

I would think larger diameter (volume) = slower velocity = loss in low end torque, but gains on higher end. And this was consistent with my initial feedback after driving the car for few mins.

Either way, waiting for the new resonator to be swapped in. Will try to get a final update by end of week.
