BMW Performance Suspension for 135i Vert?
Does the BMW Performance suspension fit the 135i (E88) convertible? I called my local BMW dealer and they told me it is only for the coupe version

That is correct. BMW does not have plans to make a Performance Suspension kit for convertibles. The KW works well. With a 135, you might want sway bars and perhaps the V2 or V3 to be able to tune the car a little more.
Anyone know the Performance suspension front sway bar part number and if it fits a 128i or a 135i convertible? |

The sways fit. The coupe and vert are identical infront of the A-pilar.
But different spring rates are required on the vert due to the I creased mass and the change ^in the weight distribution and I guess there isn't a market for it |

I am thinking of going to either the KONI FSD (stock spring) or the Bilstein PSS10 kit (comes with springs). Any comment on those? I don't want too hash a ride but just needed a bit more cornering stability.
I already ditched the stock RE050A RFTs and put on PS3s which are a bit on the soft side.......

Bilstein is neat. But t hey aren't available till January? My wholesale price was over $1800, so I went with the KWs. I am sure Konis would be fine, though the effort of installation to me meant might as well go with coil overs. I like the ability to adjust the ride height as well.
Here is a cool website that helps with understanding the effects on handling when you change certain suspension bits. I know folks always talk about stiffening this or that, adding bits, etc. But I think it helps to see all the modification possibilities summarized in one place. Now if someone would put together a website that takes this info and cross references it with available parts for BMWs! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/terry.c.../handling.html Last edited by MikeinAlexandria; 12-22-2010 at 12:45 PM.. I am hoping BMW decides to build a 1M convertible. Not to buy it but so I can use the M shocks/springs when it comes time to replace the stock 135i shocks/springs.
