Yeah, I saw how the cars are cheaper than what Max is selling them for. But I figure the amount of customization I'm getting with the 1M is worth it to me. Max asked for a pic of my license plate which I sent to him just now. Kinda cool to have my actual plate on the car.

I think I have one of the rare colors...I think more rarer than Le Mans Blue. Carbon Black Metallic. I just haven't seen many cars out there with this paint. And certainly I'm not going to find a diecast model with that color either.

The closest you will get is "Sapphire Black" which is way of Carbon Black, the closest model to mine was the Kyosho 1:18 USA spec version in a Blue color that was only avalible in the USA. I bet Max would(or knows of someone who) could paint it in LeMans Blue. Toy models of our cars... 1:43, 1:87 and 1:18... http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507986 Quote:
It's kind of like: Brits / Americans(Ami's) Tyre = Tire Wing = fender bonnet = hood boot = trunk I have ordered many models from CK Models in Berlin. They have really decent prices and fast shipping. I would ask them IF they can special order you a 135i from Kyosho. https://ck-modelcars.de/en/eur/l/t-suche/?s=Kyosho

Ahhh I see. Well... I would still ask Max. He has done some really great work for some of the guys here on 1Addicts. I remember with the last batch of 1:43 1M models... he could match special paint on the standard wheels(one member had painted his 1M wheels in Audi's Suzuki Grey), and another model was done EXACTLY as the owner had modded his car. The car even had the tri-color stripes painted on the model's grill! But yea, I can't see Max making up new style wheels. But I would still ask him. Dackel

I asked Max if he could change the colour of a 1:18 MotoGP to Inka Orange like the E92 BMW M3 GTS, I was hopping he could create a BMW 1M GTS as the MotoGP car has the same rear GTS spoiler already attached. BMW will not let him do it as it is not an original 1M colour. I also asked Max if Minichamps could make a BMW 1 SERIES tii CONCEPT model and a Homologation Black 1 SERIES coupe, BMW won't allow him to make the tii either as it was only a concept car, Max didn't let me know if Minichamps could make the Homoligation model but I am guessing BMW would have had to have produced 5000 1M vehicles in the first place. There are a couple E30's that I have asked Max to produce, the 2dr 325i Sport and Convertible with the Mtec II body kit would be nice, Corgi has beat Minichamps to it but they are not my cup of tea. |

Finally received my Minichamps BSM 1M from Legacy Diecast. Really nice car, though I didn't realize the hood/trunk do not open, but no big deal. Only issue was the dual exhaust, one side is hanging a little lower than the other. Already have to do some maintenance

I was at the Welt the other day and I was surprised to see the Minichamps models on sale at the Welt's gift shop. The models look really good up close.

I placed my order with Max yesterday and he could not have been nicer.
My model will be complete, as specified, in the next 3-4 days and shipped to me, in the U.S. thereafter. Thank you to Max, and to Dackelone for organizing. |
