Cp-e catback installed!!!

FINALLY installed my CP-e full catback exhaust system. I ordered it with the resonators and stealth pipe. It sounds absolutely AMAZING. The installation was very simple. The only hard part was taking the studs off from the downpipe and replaced it with bolts. With the stealth pipe, there is very little drone. I can't wait for the "break-in period" to be over. It already sounds very exotic.

Old Exhaust

New

I will have videos posted VERY soon

the CP-e exhaust had an issue w/ a lil drone and some would sit crooked, so they added the stealth pipe to serve as an extra hanger and also to eliminate all drone

I think I'm one of the VERY few to have the stealth pipe. Escobar929 is absolutely correct and with that extra hanger it sits exactly where I want it. I will post some this weekend!

I find myself rolling down my windows just so I can hear the beautiful exhaust system better

You need to come to the meet and greet on Friday! Can you modify the audio on the GoPro?

Location/time? There are no audio controls but you can use the waterproof cover to improve the audio in high wind situations and the M6 driver was telling me he picked up an accessory which helps reduce wind noise.

Do you still have the box for this thing? I want to send mine down to CP-E to get the stealth pipe installed but I have nothing to send it in... anyone have any other solutions? I'll pay for you to ship it up empty if you do have it. I LOVE the way this thing sounds but with fall/winter coming up I would really like to have the stealth pipe welded on.

2 options - 1 you can go to a local guitar shop and get a guitar box (48x20x9) to ship it in. Or 2 you can go by your local dealer and see if they have some boxes big enough to fit the axle back into. That's what I ended up doing - they just pointed me to a pile of boxes and said have at it.

Yes you can hear it some with the windows up. Better with them down. Best with them down & accelerating under an overpass.

The only time I can hear it with the windows up, is when I'm in 5th and 6th gear at about 2500-3000 rpm

Sorry, I went to pick it up since CP-e is less than half hour away.

Obviously, it sounds sicker when you hear it from the outside rather than sitting in the car....

Videos really don't do justice...

tools?

Yuchi, I'm planning on installing a Berk full race next week myself but need to run get some sockets for my impact driver. Do you (or anyone else!) know what sizes I'll need to remove the stock system? (including midpipes and center frame support)

cp-e

Just did a full catback on my 2011/135i.
Catback with resonators, stealth pipe.
I just love it....for me.
The sound is great, not a BIG difference, just good enough for my kind of driving.
The difference is more at constant speed where i can hear the sound.....like a big cat that purr.
And at constant acceleration, pedal to the floor. Then it sound like Beethoven or Chopin.
And of course on the M mode..............then it's just a total pleasure to listen.

Congrats on your exhaust system. Cp-e does sound very exotic!!

If you plan on getting downpipes, might I suggest bigger resonators on the midpipes. The exhaust sytem before the DPs had a low end cabin drone at 5th and 6th gear between 1500-2200. Wasn't too bad but after the catless DPs it echoed pretty badly. I just purchased a set of Vibrant resonators, I'll write a review on here once installed.

Have you had a problem with an exhaust leak where the downpipes connect to the midpipe? I've had it since i've sent it back to CP-e to add the resonator and stealth pipe. It can be pretty loud and gets annoying lol.

I have the CP-e full exhaust with the catless downpipes. hyper1 is right, the car does sound amazing and the stealth pipe and resonators are a must. Before I sent it back to add them, it was way to loud! I can post videos of mine, but I dont want to thread jack
