HPFP Replacement Poll

Canadian 135ers, how many of you have had to replace your HPFP? The US forums are riddled with this issue but we seemingly have not seen any Canadians pipe in.

Nope, haven't had any long cranks starting up... yet. Mine has ridiculously low KMs (less than 4500) though considering it's an '08.

Morning long cranks started at just over 31,000 kms. BMW replaced a fuel filter and a sensor. Long cranks came back almost right away followed by my first limp mode when I went out to make a pass. HPFP replaced at 32,500. Morning long cranks came back at 33,000 kms and are getting worse but so far no further limp mode. Current at 33,700 kms. BMW says drop it off and we will check it out.

27K..years 2008...SSTT installed Nothing, no sign!!! i'll ask sooo many time at he main forum if this problem was recurant here in Canada.. and it seem not... Quality of gas ?? don't know.

HPFP Replaced at about 35k
Long cranks started a couple of weeks ago at 40k

1st HPFP replaced at +- 15000km

2nd HPFP replaced at 56125km

My 135i as now +-56800km

Well I guess I spoke too soon... Got the first long-ish crank this a.m ... car drove OK then after lunch with gf... long crank (4-5 sec) car still drove ok... and then very long crank (> 5sec) again in the p.m car drove very rough for 30 secs and then went into limp mode... called roadside assist. waited 2 hrs for a flatbed to come... towed it to the dealer... tried starting the car a couple of times it just refused to start...

so from 1st long crank to dead in 1 day @ 8700km ... hope I'll get the newest version of the pump (943)

FYI... I have been using Shell V-power since day 1... so think gas is not a factor then...

Had long cranks ( 3-5 secs) for the first few months, maybe even half a yr. All of a sudden it stopped.
Car is at 22k now and runs fine.
Just used Sunoco 94 except for maybe 2-3 times when there is no Sunoco nearby.

Check out E90Post's Canada section...way more 335i's on there. You'll get a larger sample group. From what I can tell many of the guys who do have HPFP failures seem to get them between 30k and 50k.

Update:

It was indeed the HPFP failure... got it replaced... still the old 881 version... hope this one can last longer if not forever...
