So I joined the exclusive Hit and Run club this week.

As forum member JZHANG so eloquently put it: "some douche hit and ran my baby". I was piiiiisssed. I didn't notice it until late in the afternoon because I normally back into parking spots and approach the car from the front. Picking my son up from the YMCA I was in a rush and parked pulling in forward. Walking back to the car I noticed what I though was "white chalk" on my drivers side rear bumper and quarter panel....nope....not chalk.....

That sucks man, I feel your pain. In the last few weeks, several scratches have shown up on my car from careless a$$holes.

Not to sound bitter or jaded......but I really do hate people!! Honestly I have lost all faith / hope for humanity and I certainly don't trust ANYONE.

No one does the 'right thing' anymore. Hell, parents don't even care if their 6 year old rug rats open the door of their beat up 2008 SUV Yacht right into the side of the car next to them.

Everyone is in it for themselves and gone are the ways of common sense, moral character, and good stewardship.

So what is to blame for this decay of societal values / norms?

Who knows. Some could cite the decline in Western family values, others could cite overcrowding and urban sprawl, or others could cite the fall of religion and faith in individuals to act as a guiding moral compas.

Either way, as Billy Currington so elequently puts it "God is great, Beer is good, and People are CRAZY"

(And I am only a 33yo, I am not some 75yo bitter old man on my porch)

Nah the wheels are fine (well...at least as close to fine as they can be considering how many times I have had to remove them and install them over the last couple of months).

Thanks for the sympathy guys....I am NOT looking forward to the POS rental they will give me when i turn it in.

It is a bad club to be in. I joined in March when some a@#$^&e swiped my car.

I feel your PAIN!!!! Man screw these idiots........ been without my baby for a week now..... estimated damage on mine was $2500 if that makes you feel better.....

I think the Hit and Run Club is not that exclusive now, its pretty much ladies in before 9pm..... every day...

WTF! Me too! Car isn't a month old and someone put a big scrape across my driver's side rear fender. Their car was dirty too, so it left loads of parallel scratches. It wasn't you... your car isn't white.

f-ing people, I compounded, polished and waxed, and it helped. I'm going to have to shell out a bunch if I want it repainted, but at this rate, I'm wondering if I should bother.
