Scott's 2009 Amazing Road Trip (or Kill Scott Vol. 2)
Hi All - Well, the 2008 road trip from Ca. to Watkins Glen in 48 hours was so much fun, I figure I have at least one more good road trip in me.
So for 2009, In about a week, I'll be hooking up a little track trailer to the 135i and leaving Huntington Beach for the BMW Oktoberfest Races at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Ga. That maps out to over 2200 miles, but I'm going soft and giving myself the same 48 hours to make it there! Here's the setup:

Well, I actually made it there in pretty good shape (lost the left rear light and license plate from the trailer somewhere between Amarillo and Little Rock). I'll post a pick of what it looked like as I rolled into the paddock.
Huntington Beach to Atlanta: 44 hours! Atlanta back to HB: 54 hours About 4500 hundred miles round trip with no tickets

May I live vicariously through you? Awesome! I'd dress up the trailer a bit just for fun, but I guess that's money that could go into brake pads and tires.

When I first picked it up: http://www.bimmerfest.com/photos/sho.../size/big/cat/ But it did fine - we were worried about how old the tires on the trailer were and how many cracks they had in the sidewalls, but they held up over the 4500 miles.

Thanks - here is how I arrived at Road Atlanta. Six tires (1 in the trunk) and 4 wheels. Oh, and a small EZ-Up on top of the middle tool box.

Nice. You guys deserve to be there with your beast. Good luck in the events. Quick question, what hitch do you guys use? I need a way to get all of my crap to and from school without being in an SUV with the rents for 10 hours.

That is hardcore! I saw your car going down Golden West in HB a few weeks ago. I hope to get my Ti Silver M-sport back from ED in another month. We can wave at each other on the road.
