What's the chance of picking up 2 screws in 2 tyres yesterday arvo? :

Scraped front door edge whilst looking at damage in garage last night.

Tyre shop damaged rim whilst fixing tyre this morning.

Car keyed 4 weeks after delivery.

Sorry to hear Donald. Hate it when bad things happen to nice guys.

This may not help, but the only consolation is that it could have been far worse.

That really sucks Donald, maybe the wheels need to go, seem to be the problem

Those wheels on Steve's car don't seem to be having issues

Ah that sucks =(

I remember when I first got my car I got run into by a truck after having it only a few months, had a shoddy repair job, had rims damaged when getting tyres replaced and got about 6 nails/screws in a 12 month period (I think someone was sabotaging my car).

Haven't had such bad luck recently so hopefully it gets better for you.

(although yesterday, I wasn't paying attention whilst reversing out of my driveway and scraped the rear bumper )

I think it is a jinx on stock 1Ms. You should modify your car as soon as possible to break it!

On a serious note. Sorry to hear that, and better luck soon!

I didn't cos I'm usually careful with the kerbs and don't often get flats. 2 screw punctures outside my work office on a Sunday is iffy.

Horrible to see a chunk off the rim. I hope it can be fixed as new.

Bob Jane the culprit is organising the repairs at their cost and they didn't charge me for the tyre repairs.

I would however gladly pay 10 times tyre repairs if that mean no rim damage.

Thanks Ian for touch up offer, will be in touch. Much appreciated.

Hey Raj, thanks for offer to look into paint damage. Buff won't work as paintwork was chipped off edge. Will either touch up to remove eyesore or leave it for the panel shop when I send Jaffa in for repairs to keyed side.

Much appreciated nonetheless.

Definitely not much luck there Don.
Hope everything get sorted out to its pristine condition again.

I had a look at BMW tyre & rim insurance, not worth it imo if you read the fine prints.

Wheel insurance will not cover kerb damage. You have destroy your rim in a pothole to claim.

I was told that by sales and then workshop at BMW Melb

Nail in tyres otherwise will be covered.

Sorry to hear that Donald

Thanks guys, bob jane is sending their mobile contractor (name ozzie?) to my workplace. Yet to make contact tho. If my gut feel is not good, will organise my own repairs even if I have to pay for it.

Joe, pls send over your guy please. need it anyway for my R. thanks.

Dang, that is some bad luck. Steer clear of black cats and mirrors from now on.

And I thought I had some bad luck when someone reversed out of their driveway without looking and straight into my parked 1'er when I'd only had it about 6 weeks. He took off the driver mirror and ruined my driver's door, and I wasn't even there at the time. Thankfully the bloke was fully insured (and honest) and claimed through their NRMA which meant I could use Stow Smash Repairs (Artarmon) for the fixes. A few hiccups along the way with Stow, but the final replacement door/mirror/respray is excellent.

Hope yours returns to full glory soon!

Donald sorry to hear, that is bad luck!

I've used Stow many years ago and thought they were good. A few years ago I used Scientific when i was rear ended. The job was average, I wouldn't go back to them.
