I recently had a dealer installed map update. Mine also says 2016 Premium on the software info. Cost around $90

Apparently bmw Germany only updated a few dealers
with the latest maps but not all

That's the story I got

Going in on Monday to get the latest 2016 maps
and got the release date which was 14 sep 2015

Only took them a week to figure out what was going on

I think it was rather fast don't you

you can update yourself just connect a charger while doing it, it wont update your maps but update all your stereo software.

The last one was made in 2015 for the ccc and there is no more updates

You can get it from BMW for 99 dollars last time I checked.

Map updates are available through our spare parts dept, however cost of the update is $249.00 including installation.
