I'm going back soon to get my free floor mats (the parts department was closed when I got the car), and I'll ask them to take it off when I go back. I wanted to tell them the first day, but I think I was too excited and enamored by the car. On the bright side just having "Open Road" is much better than something like "Bellevue BMW" in my opinion, at least it's not obviously a dealer name or something. Still, gotta take it off.

It's weak and it's goofy looking, but I still love it. Hands down the most useful and utilitarian car ever!

Good thing you didn't take the IS. I used to sneak drive my sister's a few times, and compared to the 1er, the steering is numb and unresponsive and it's not that much fun to drive. Even the 300 hp of the IS350 can't fix un-fun driving.

The car was actually shipped over from another dealer in PA. They USED to have the exact same car (exact same options, too) and when I inquired about it they said they had just sold it. Then they said they could find another identical one and ship it over for free. The older car that I just missed must have been the one you were seeing

The car's a year old so there was no IS-F then haha. But even the IS-F couldn't hold a candle to the 1er. Sure it might be faster, but deep down it's the same old numb car. The only time you'd be able to have fun in it is in a straight line!

It's a 2005 Honda Element. I bought it when I was still in a band because of it's great cargo capacity combined with roomy seating (stadium style seats in rear!). The rear seats can be removed or can just be folded up into the sides of the car without breaking a sweat. On top of that everything in the car is water resistant/proof so you can hose down the car to clean it! Very very useful. Too bad the band broke up 2 months after I bought the car

Scooby doo was my childhood! Best cartoon ever IMO (beating out Futurama, South Park, Simpsons, and my other favorite "adult" cartoons)

I always thought Toyotas were like toasters. They make toast, get the job done. They don't really break down, so they're reliable. But they aren't fun to use, rewarding, or very interesting. Yep, a toaster

I was initially cross-shopping an IS250 against the 128i. The 250 seemed a little more practical/fuel efficient, but the 1'er is just too much of a driver's car for me to pass up. (And now that I'm starting to get seduced by the 135i, there really is no comparison.) I may yet test-drive the Lexus, though, just to see, but I've pretty much made my decision.
If you're looking just for 'value', then the IS250 doesn't seem like a bad deal -- it certainly has more standard stuff for the price than the 1'ers....still, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. |

Okay...I'm going to throw in my two bits...I test drove a manual tranny, RWD IS250 when I was looking at a 4 door for my wife. First off I agree that it is in a different category then the 135 by a long shot. However, I was suprised at how nice it handled. I drove it hard and was suprised at how fun it was. The salesman was great and found some good roads and incouraged me to run it hard. The motor was smooth as glass and had a nice sound but it needed more power...and maybe more growl to its sound. Don't get me worng...I was not in love with the car but I was suprised that it was as fun as it was.

grats on finally getting your car after that "used demo" fiasco earlier on. Looks like I'll be getting NJ's first 09 model now with your order off the list? Got my production number today!
