That was my plan. I was going to register tonight but my buddy just bailed on me, and another buddy just asked me to take a look at his jeep that is apparently making some awful noises. Now I'm kind of up in the air.
Registration closes tonight right?

SS mids/magnaflow are great! No drone in the car, sounds healthy outside the car but not obnoxious. There is a muffler and a resonator and the sound is very clean. no rasp or rattle. It is not one of those cars that you can hear from the other side of the autoX track. It took some minor cutting and welding to piece it together, but nothing major if you know your way around a welder.

The front section of the SS mids lined up perfectly and bolted right up. The area where the mids met the magnaflow was the issue. One side of the magnaflow has a 2.25 ID and the other is a 2.25 OD. One side slipped right into the mids but the other side I had to cut a few inches off. I'm pretty sure I had to cut some off of both sides of the mids, but I don't remember it was a while ago. Once I had everything to correct length I tacked it together, dropped the exhaust down again and welded around. All in all it didn't turn out too bad.

I have some more build pics on my local autoX/car forum.

The Bilsteins are ok. They are soft enough for me to drive to work in the car every day and not break my tail bone, but stiff enough to work better than the stock shocks and springs. My first impression of them when I put them on was "this is what the car should have felt like from the factory".

If you are trying to race with the toyobaru twins you will want something like what kgolf has with double the spring rate of the eibachs and much better dampeners. But I played that game with my DD evo9 and I hated it after a while. I will go down that road eventually but I am not as fast as car is and I want to work on that before I make it even more uncomfortable around town.

I like the way the car looks (not too low), and I like the way it rides on the street (no too bumpy). I guess they are a happy medium for street and weekend autoXing.

I did notice when I was doing my rear sway bar last weekend that the rear left dampener is a bit weaker than the right. Nothing to be alarmed about yet, but they have been on the car since 2013, done about 15k miles and a crap load of autoX duty. No noises or pops.

I bought the Kmac camber plates because TMS said that Vorshlag didn't make a plate for the stock spring. Vorshlag has them on their website now but maybe they weren't available in 2013. That is my only regret with the suspension. the Kmacs are fine because I have access to an alignment rack, but if you are doing adjustments on the fly at the track they suck.

FYI... Kgolf is currently holding down the 4th place trophy for STX! Congrats man, show those twins who's boss!

http://sololive.scca.com/STX.html
Thanks man!

Messed up braking in a key section which costed me around 0.600 seconds off my first run according to the data, so in a perfect world id be sitting 2nd. Oh well.

Tomorrow we're going on a course with a lot more power sections. Going to try and shake up that order. We will see!

Week isn't for nothing. Ended up taking the ProFinale win and overall championship at the ProSolo. I'll get videos and write ups later when j get home

I'm going to work on my buddies jeep on Saturday. The prices are a little out of control for WCBMW but so are the fees to rent the Sears Centre.

I didn't realize you had to be a BMWCCA member when I went to the last one, but luckily I knew someone else there and was able to run as their guest. I am a member now, but $50 is still pretty steep for one day on that lot.

I plan on going to the TSSCC event at LCFG on the 26-27 and the WCBMW the next weekend.

congrats on the trophies Kgolf!

Ended up 5th overall out of a class of 58.

156th out of 1232 in PAX for the week.

Couldn't find the speed yesterday to keep up and lost a spot. Will continue the car development and try again next year

Kyle that's a fantastic improvement over last year and shows that both you and the car have the potential to win in 2016. What's next on your list of car development?

Airbox, custom exhaust and custom tune.

Then try to get the car to sweep better, I think it can benefit from a softer bar.

Also, ditch these damn HP+ pads, they are garbage. They cost me 6 tenths on the west by kicking the car to ice mode. After talking to Strano it's a common thing these pads do. Will probably go with a hybrid setup of Ferodo DS2500s up front and something less grippy in the rear.

I can get camber/caster offset bushings but I don't think the car needs them honestly

Very well done. 5th out of 54 at Nats is outstanding.

Here are my ProFinale Videos

Right:

This run put me within 0.200 (exactly) within 1st place. Jumped from 5th to 2nd. Was battling handling issues all Saturday, did major compression adjustments and rebound the calm the car down

Left:

Watch the video all the way to the end. You get to see some emotion I show as I find out I take first on my last run by 0.053 of a second. This won the ProFinale and Overall ProSolo Champion for the year

My National Runs. Honestly looking at the video they are pretty ugly. Sat on my first run on the west due to my car going into Ice mode under braking on my 3rd run (Thanks HP+ Pads...POS). That ended up costing me 0.6 tenths and half the delta from 5th place to 1st in STX overall over the 2 days...fuuu

East run was tricky. After the car had an encounter with a stationary object on the very first run it developed some crazy rear end stability issues (CoDriver hit the timing lights). Nothing that was noticed on the West or during the ProFinale. Tried to calm the rear end down with shock changes but developed push up front and honestly didn't want to soften the car up anymore and just drove around the issue. After changing wheels we noticed that the left rear had some pretty noticeable toe-in from the impact...which would make sense with everything that occurred. Nothing that could be done at the time but it explains why the car didn't seem right.

Settled for 5th in STX. More seat time needed.

Congrats! 5th is a great showing. Also nice to see the 128i beat out all the other non FRS/BRZ cars.

Well, I called it ice mode.

Upon talking to other people, the HP+ pads are so grippy when the ABS gets activated, the pad clings onto the rotor and doesn't release. So the piston keeps on pumping ABS but you essentially lock the wheels.

Not as drastic as that, but enough to increase braking distance.

TSSCC is running at the Lake County Fair Grounds both days this weekend.

I know there are a few Chicago people in this thread. I want to go at least Saturday, hopefully Sunday too.

It's my birthday this weekend, so I don't think i'll be doing any autox'in.

I'll be at the sears centre on the 3rd.

Happy birthday man. The TSSCC event was a ton of fun. I won STX by 1.6XX seconds but was 40something/103 in PAX. STX Competition was pretty light. I'm also planning on running with BMW on the 3rd and then down to Rantoul for the CIR SCCA on Columbus Day weekend. The rear sway bar and RE71r's made a world of difference on the car.

The blue tinted visor is so you. It's like I don't recognize you without your helmet on in that position. Congrats on your result this year Hopefully, i'll mirror that next year in FS.
